WTF are you talking about? Sure I understand the concept of a "sim only plan", but I have never seen any such beast for sale anywhere. Oh sure, you can refuse the "free" phone, but guess what, you will not save a nickel on your monthly bill.
Dang bud, this is a pretty schizo post. First you say, "We have enough resources to feed, house, clothe and entertain the whole world several times over,". Then you say, "if someone isn't pulling their weight, they will cause a shortage somewhere else." Which is it? Surplus or shortage?
Me? I agree with your first statement. I am not worried about shortages caused by people not "pulling their weight". The truth is if we ever had so-called full employment, we'd be buried alive in stuff and pollution. The work week should be down to about 20 hours right now and then we could have sane full employment. Only no one would have enough money to buy the stuff we make. This is because of an artificial shortage of money brought to you by the big banks who control our monetary system.
You are 100% correct about "hard money". It is ruinous. However so is credit backed money such as we have now. It is only not as bad as hard money, but still very bad. My sig is the key to understanding the truth...
So, in this one area, we are not as corrupt as the governments of Europe. Whoopy! How exciting to hear that. Doesn't mean that there isn't any corruption, BTW.
The powers that be would rather see their grandkids eaten by cannibals than release their grip on our chains of fossil fuel bondage. And there is absolutely nothing you or I can do about this, because we live in a world where 80% of the people are spoon fed subtle propaganda from the television and other mainstream media outlets.
Please don't conflate fiat money with fractional reserve banking. The former is the only rational way to have money, whereas the later is the greatest single source of human suffering ever.
Do you really believe that there was ever even once for 5 minutes when all the US gold and silver certificates could have all been redeemed all at once? That's a fantasy and there is a sound reason that that fantasy was never real. The cost of maintaining enough gold and silver to redeem all the certificates would have destroyed the nation.
.net was a good first approximation of a highly productive development environment, but then they sputtered out. There has been no significant innovation in.net since the first beta. What.net mainly needs is a.net implementation of mumps fully integrated, and then it would be killer. The fact that most of you have no idea what I am talking about shows how far away from possibility my vision is. The fact that even if someone was to propose it, it would get killed because we got teh sql server is exactly why MS is slowly but surely going to die. Developers, my ass! MS has no clue anymore about what developers need and want. Hell, you can develop a killer app in.net and you still have to go out and buy an installer. WTF???
And fix the damned bugs! Applications should submit resources to the OS for installation, not install themselves. That would end the whole problem of malware, as the OS would record what it did during the install making uninstallation a breeze. That's just one of my ideas, Microsoft. Hello?
This is not "cool". Cool is the VMware model where the server has no gui. Instead you run the server's gui as a Windows app on a Windows workstation. Duh!
You are blissfully ignorant of the realities. In New York they stop AND SEARCH, not "talk to", anyone for nothing. In Los Angeles they enforce laws that are unjust. You are also part of that problem. When did you last get together with your fellow officers and hold a press conference about the insanity of the drug war? I thought so.
You are not a dinosaur, however I successfully used the best vr software 7 years ago to get me through the essay writing required in college. It does take a concerted effort to get productive, but once I had the platform dialed in, AND adopted the necessary discipline in my interaction with the system, I could crank out a 3 to 5 page essay in about an hour and a half, whereas with typing it would take me 3 or 4 hours.
Why characterize the fans of one of the only politicians in DC who is not bought and paid for as retards? Most, not all, but most of Ron Paul's ideas are full of flaws, yes, but he is sincere and honest, and that makes him hugely superior to almost every other Representative, and absolutely superior to the other major party presidential candidates. As far as I can tell he was the only major party candidate who could have been counted on to not invade Iran. But now we have marginalized him and his fans as retrards, and off to Iran we will surely go. Your bad!
You have a good basic understanding, uncolored by Economists' irrational dogma, however you are missing the last piece of the puzzle. To wit, the credit basis of almost all nations' currency. This is the fly in the ointment. It is caused by permitting fractional reserve lending. Eliminate frl and we could have a utopia. Instead, we are all buried in fraudulent debt.
Suggestion! *waves hand* How about a complete redesign of Window's app installation and update architecture? Apps ask the OS to install or update them. The OS records what it has done and doesn't do things like add start up items without explicit user permission. Then when the user tells the OS to uninstall an app, the OS knows exactly what to do so that the app is completely gone. Malware becomes something that old timers joke about and the kids scratch their heads.
Come on dude! If your not talking about rain and snow, it's "whether", OK?

>> What's the point of hiring scientists if you don't want them to do science properly?
To give the appearance of doing proper science. Duh!

And on top of that Gmail sucks!!!

Everyone knows that those who talk, talk, but those who do, do, and don't talk until after they've done.
Standing on a stage with a cardboard cutout of a tablet is not doing, it's just talk.

As if "human decency" had anything to do with killing people. Right.
Wait! What happens when the sharks jump the buckyballs?
Right, like this couldn't be gamed.
Garcia would knock your teeth in, jackass!

Don't use it in the office though - too noisy.
Comment written on my 2003 P4 laptop that, with an IDE SLC SSD, performs just peachy. And it has a real screen! Yep, what you said Mr. Feet.
You are chasing a chimera.

Not one word of this is true. Not one word.
Probably the whole damned thing, but just one word? Nope.
