Well, i'm not suggesting that we release everyone there- but just put them in normal prisons and try them as normal criminals, if there is normal probable cause.
The difference is that he could issue an executive order to have people pack up and march the fuck out of Guantanamo. It would take 24 hours and he has not done it.
A- Calling someone gay? Is that a serious offense? Have the morons who issued this warrant ever talked to college aged guys?
B- Really? So- using anything that people who don't use computers aren't familiar with is considered suspicious? What the fuck? Are these the salem witch trials? Is he going to be burned for linuxcraft?
Linux still needs some work in the area of user friendlyness.
Now, most of it is because of lack of native support, but some of it is by design.
Really, most of the community is focused on the core of linux. Very few people have concerned themselves with user experience, as the assumption has been that most people using linux are savvy enough to figure things out for themselves.
I hate to say it- but Its been creeping up on me the last few months. Were we wrong about Obama?
I supported him during the campaign, and I expected that when he went into office, things would start to change for the better.
I know that things take time, but so far- what have we done? Given a shitload of money to AIG and raised taxes for people with $250,000 and more annual income?
We're still in Iraq. Guantanamo is still there. What has changed?
I'm sorry, Am I not supposed to be viewing violence as an adult male? I can understand mandates for them to put warning labels and such, for parents, but why the hell would It be reasonable to tax this?
What is our government now? The mafia? Seriously. They are essentially saying "Hey, look, we like you, but you're in trouble. Now, if you make sure we're taken care of, nothing bad will happen to you."
Why not just route the output of cooling through a series of tubes, underground? Then we could atleast say the internet is COOLED by a series of tubes.
Well, of course it all depends on what you like to watch, but really id much rather be watching independent youtube videos than a big budget movie that is just the same story done over and over and over and over.
Now, i'm going to be killed for saying this- but look at batman. It has been remade SOOOO many times, and sure, each revision is a bit better. But it is just the same story over and over and over.
My personal tastes dictate to me that I do not want to know how the story ends. I'm very tired of remakes.
We don't NEED warner's music/movies. With the web, we've developed to a point where independently run shows are more entertaining than big business crap.
Think hak5, collegehumor, derrik comedy, truenuff.
Yeah, honestly, fuck warner. If they don't want to share, they don't get to be part of the future.
Everyone knows that APPLE isnt like evil microsoft, trying to use its patents and lawyers to aggressively attack any potential competition!
...
Okay now that i've said the obligatory- id like to point out that Apple is JUST as much a big, heartless corporation as microsoft. They are in this for money, and they would make 90% of moves microsoft made, they just were beaten to the punch. So, even if they make nice products, they aren't necessarily nice people.
Bandwidth, electricity, server maintenance- with their massive size I can be that being immense.
They only have adds on a few different pages. I really hope google does not decide to drop them at some point.
You're right, I didn't actually want a definition of it, but I wasn't saying it was used incorrectly.
I am just pointing out that it is a ridiculously ambiguous word that really has no specific meaning.
Wouldn't it be easier to just hook up a dehumidifier and use normal (non-rugged) parts?
And here it is: http://www.bootlegsbypeoplewhocare.net/together/Good_Luck_I'm_Behind_7_Proxies.jpg
If you are still using windows 2000- BUY A NEW COMPUTER!

Whoops I meant to post this as a reply to the obligatory above "Year of the linux desktop" thread.

When did this become the job of the state?

Or, just some morons with a bit of thermite and a crowbar.
Why would an ATT employee make more work for themselves by cutting a fiber line? Besides, they're still in negotiations.

I thought spore was fun. Whats wrong with spore?
I was looking at the syntax of scala- and it looks like they're trying to do web development in C. Why can't people just learn a new syntax?
It isn't going to kill you. It really wont.

I'm going to personally inundate the world of warcraft forums with links to that website.
Kudos to those who understand the foot icon reference. :)
Lol why do you need to look at the caption to tell it is false- it indicates that the javascript performance of ie6 is higher than google chrome.
It isnt even the first of april yet. Why are they running the story now?
I reject your reality and substitute my own!
