    -if it is not true, and is about a company
    -if it is not true and it is about a person
    -if it makes someone sad.

    I believe that religion is inherently opposed to the scientific process. There is no mixing the two unless you make some pretty major concessions.

    For example, how can someone who believes in a creator of all things accept the law of conservation of mass? Some things are just incompatible.

    I can say that no, I wouldnt, but that if I were going to pay for TV service from anyone, youtube would probably be my first choise. i'm kind of beyond the point of wanting to watch 20th century style production television. regular youtube is much more entertaining for me.

    Well, some building materials absorb more signal than others. The more porous the stuff is, the more decibels it will soak up. I can't remember, but I think one major thing is asbestos. I'd have to do some testing to say for sure, but I can tell you that it is a major factor.

    They should show an icon for the device/disk on the desktop if they disable autorun, like on os x/linux. People want visual feedback that their crap is doing something, and they dont like to open up windows explorer/my computer.

    Then you must've had your card for more than a year or two. There used to be unlimited data plans, but they stopped provisioning them in the middle of last year. All new plans are capped at 5GB though, don't believe what the salesperson may say to you.

    Anyway- i'd say its a good idea. I don't think they'd use it for anything mission critical, like jet fighter software. Only windows 98 cuts the cake for that kind of high tech business.

    Its a step forward, and its free, so why not?

    This makes me happy that:

    -we are finally going to be doing more research
    -less money will be spent on killing soldiers
    -Obama is starting to enact real change

    But, it makes me depressed that:

    -As a people, spending THREE percent of our money on science, research, new tech is a GOAL. These things are so ridiculously important you'd think we'd be spending more. Oh well.

    Well, verizon uses a frequency that has higher penetration, and longer range, but lower throughput. AT&T's 3G network is awesome if you're in most metropolitan cities. The only place where it can start to be a problem is if your out in the boonies, or in somewhere like NYC where there are 9000 iphones all sucking down streaming video from one tower at once.

    I'm all in favor of making things electronic, god knows I've spent the last 20 years doing so- but regardless- i'd estimate that all of us here know exactly how easy it would be for one person to interfere with a voting system, regardless of how safe it may APPEAR to be- every system is breakable, many within seconds.

    Case in point- Newer isn't always better.
