Quoting: "However, whereas the Higgs is not made up of smaller particles, the Chi-b(3P) combines two very heavy objects via the same 'strong force which holds the atomic nucleus together."
I hope the LHC building is designed to withstand the weight of these heavy objects!
Why do you need to reinstall all these extensions after every firefox update (and there are so many of those these days!). It's annoying. Doesn't Firefox have a proper API for extensions that doesn't break with every single version?
I Didn't really read the article (if it was readable text at all, or was it audio)? But I assume that the challenge of setting up a security conference, must be making the wifi and other stuff secure, with all those hackers attending who want to prove something.
"For the technology to work, How said vehicles would need to be able to communicate with one another, wirelessly sending and receiving data like the car's speed and position."
This would require the red light runner to also be transmitting their speed and position.
3) Why are combinations of two words on the list, where one of the two is also on the list already? The combination would already be banned due to that single word.
4) Why is "dome" on the list? You can't even describe a building with a dome?
We couldn't live in a universe with both matter and antimatter since they destroy each other. So it's obvious that a place where life appears and we get born to ask that question, has only one of them.
What we see is just the observable universe. What if all this missing antimatter happens to be in a non-observable part? You'll never be able to see that! Unless those faster than light particles end the theory of observable universe of course.
The more CPU time you got, the more quality. Real-time animation is not going to look as good as non-realtime animation. However, the good news of the article summary is that CPU's, and the algorithm they devised, are now fast enough for having real-time rendering that DreamWorks finds good enough to call animation quality! Nice.

And that's not XMMS 2 nor Audacious just to be clear.
I can't stand anything more complex.
Am I old fashioned?

Just wondering if it's only Photoshop.

We need them for new life...
The skin of the sphere looks pretty reptilian to me...
I want to see channels from any country, in any country.
That's all.
Real life is NOT based on your computer and its silicon chips. Real life is in the outside world, away from your computer!

It isn't if you attach it to sharks. Then, instead, it's deadly.
Indeed, 640K ought to be enough for everyone!

Only car-sounds are allowed! But you can choose between Ferrari, Lamborghini, F1 and Mining Truck.

> And where would the unobservable universe be?
Beyond the horizon where it is too far away for its information to ever reach us in our lifetime due to the lightspeed limit.

But it's only 400 of them! Even the Intel 4004 had more.
Very cool and all, but why does the summary call this a "Computer Chip?
Unless they chose the terrain to match the visible pattern.
The article says the rocket costs $10 billion.
The whole Large Hadron Collider cost $9 billion.
How can a single rocket, a tube filled with fuel, cost $10 billion? Please explain.
The quality of first posts on slashdot has dramatically decreased during the last year. What is causing this trend?
For crypto, you need *Perfect* random indeed, but for music, a pseudorandom generator should surely be enough?
Yay, thanks Trinity team!!
