    Much more effective... mount a weapon (laser, rail gun, etc) to the stoplight control system.

    If the system detects a speeder, the weapon fires and destroys the offending vehicle.

    If you look at the pictures that accompany this quote, you'll see that the instrument clusters are reversed, ie; the "STBD" cluster is on the left and "PORT" on the right. The Chief steers the boat with his hand behind his back?

    How odd. Why would the helm be facing aft?

    Based on the NDA-type documents I've signed, read or been exposed to over the years, I always love the "we own everything you think of, might think of or have thought of" clauses.

    Would I still work in IT? No. Not only "no", but "hell no". I'd play with some computer stuff, but I wouldn't hang my hat on it.

    What would I do? I would be a world-travelling photographer, specializing in great hiking trails and locations. I'd specialize on Europe, but branch out occasionally.

    Yep, that's what I would do... go hikin' and take pictures.

    Since the JWST will be at the L2 point, servicing will be impossible.

    My knowledge of orbital mechanics is limited, but why would servicing it pose a problem?

    We can send people to the moon, we can (usually) hit Mars, so why would an extended mission to a relatively local L-point be impossible?

    Cripes, I must be older than I thought. My Apple ][ screamed with it's 300/1200 modem.

    I couldn't use the 1200 speed for a year as there wasn't anywhere local to dial in to at such a high speed.
