Well, I of course read that too, but previously Nintendo has killed off the Twilight Hack, and look how long it still survived. I wouldn't say it's permanently dead, but yeah, it's a possibility.
It doesn't kill the HBC, you're right, but I think it's better to be safe and keep the TP Hack option open, just in case something goes wrong.
Unfortunately, homebrew piracy tools are available, but you do have to go looking for them. Homebrew certainly doesn't imply piracy but in some senses, it enables it.
...our governor is an idiot. He wants to tax almost everything, except diet soda (although he is taxing gym membership and recreational sports like skiing).
Actually, you can just grab the base CD, and install the basics. You can choose to install from the internet anyway, and it's great if you need to install it on a machine that only has access to a wireless network. After you install the base system you can boot into it and select whatever you want, from whatever repos you want, of course.
The point of using this is so that you can compile multiple files at once. Obviously it can't impact how the application performs because that would require modification of the source code, and the compiler doesn't magically optimize it to work with multiple cores.
The mouse will almost certainly evolve, but I have a difficult time imagining that it will die. I certainly won't be shelling out big bucks for a touch-screen, nor are inexpensive homemade ones really much to brag about. I know I won't be holding my hand up to press tiny buttons for the rest of my life.
This doesn't work at all. I'm logged into Gmail and Facebook, neither of which it detected.
Linux remains free.
it's not the size that counts -- it's what you do with it.

Homebrew is not piracy. I paid for my Wii, and I'm damned well going to run the things that I want to run on it.
Uh, you shouldn't be encouraging people to downgrade to this version.
Uh, I think you meant the Trident engine, not IE.

they will still be making a profit.

$ uname -n
lappy
Sorry, I'm not creative at all.
Why would anyone in their right mind use IE? Certainly Nintendo wouldn't stoop that low.
At any rate, that site doesn't even work on Linux, so I can't imagine why it would run on the Wii.
Don't scare me! What with all the Zunes freezing, you can't be too careful nowadays... the last thing I need is trusty ol' MPC to crash!
they must be mavericks for banning all those words. That's the change our language needs.
Try Debian. I don't use packages for everything, you know.

Works fine for me.
...file-sharing isn't illegal.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to finish torrenting a Debian DVD.
btrfs? I think not!
See title.

I'd trademark the letters and patent the act of "laughing out loud."
I should patent "lol". I'd be rich from the 13-year-olds alone!
I already have an e-reader on my DS. And I don't have to pay $30 to read public-domain books.
