No I agree. They look worse than Quake III. Games should be cartoony. Lots of better effects are in those type of games, since you have no expectation of that it should look real. You never hear people saying that Mario doesn't look Mario enough. Wheras, those monsters looked like computer monsters with lots of effects. Graphics haven't improved vastly since the half-life engine. That was a big jump. Halo is a good looking game also, and that plays on a regular tv.
There is a component of J2EE that uses SQL-Like commands and compiles them into the target database platform. With C++, you would have to write your own translator. You are looking for another layer of inderection, but you might not find it with c++ since it is not very post compile dynamic.
...and it was on old hardware. 1.2 million computer hours on what hardware? Baseline it and then convert to modern hardware to discuss how probable/improbable it will be in a year.
I enjoy these arguments. Perhaps instead of the deaf guy example we should consider colors as a function of our perception. The values and names that we assign to colors exist onl in our own counsciounesses. (can't spell) We can measure the value of the wavelength and agree that blue is blue and red is red, but internally it may be different. Maybe that is why some people like "ugly" colors. basically, you can't prove to me that what I percieve as the color blue is the same counsciouness effect as you.
As a human do you believe that the difference between "God's" Will and Self Assembly is discernable? In other words, even if you saw the two side by side, how would you determine intelligent design from evoloution?
Maybe it is fun to discuss these things. Bait Away.
Clarify: They will use the EOL to block the shit out of our content, and have their own little bubble. This is what early versions of AOL did to their users, and they still do to outside users. Either way, anyone on their system will be protected. If they want drm, they can get it from whoever they want to.
So what if they make EOL? Nobody will use it unless they hook it up to the internet also. If they want to make a european community they can fuck 'em. If they want to post anything that will make them money, it will be on the real internt. For articles like this, post it on the euroboard. I don't care, whay should you. Thats the fun part about laissez-faire life. You dont have to care about anything.
So are you the origonal poster logged in as AC? Somehow I am a moron for using a correct term, but the unsubstansiated little bastard is just making a joke? Go take a flying fuck at a rolling doughnut.
Ok, but what does this have to do with NP complete? I don't see an algorithm or problem statement anywhere, so what is the O(n) that we are looking at? Go back to bed.
In her 5 point plan, where is the limitation to prevent a group purchace and share? She assumes the existence of secure media, with a single pay to play distribution point. The media will become free after the inital investor gives shares the media with only one who made no payment.
Maybe we don't need digital protection, we just need a scarcity mechanism. That is why people buy things in the first place...
When figuring cost, keep in mind that the PVRs are a device and subscription service wheras the PC solution is a one time investment.

Most schools require mac address registration lately. You can walk on to the Oberlin campus and just start typing away. Other schools are like that too. Just make sre you wear an abercrombiecostume so to not raise suspicion.
clearly you don't program anything. What we need is less laws against this type of activity. Why isint the company responsible for making crap? Because its cheaper to attack the "hackers" in court than to fix engineering problems...
Anyone interested in a good book an artifical intelligence in game playing should read blondie24 by Larry Fogel. It takes an evoloutionary computing approach to checkers and is a very accessable and interesting read. It also dispels many fallacies of AI especially the Deep Blue comment made in this article.
I did this with a ford thunderbird chair. All you need is a junkyard and a loose 12 volt power supply to get the motors to work. There are a lot more crashed t-birds than BMWs.
As a project leader perhaps you are not delegating responsibility efficently enough. You sound like a self starter, these people most likely had very good GPA's in school because they could follow a book well, now they are screwed. Write them a book and they will be able to do it, but only after they sneak off to the library to do the test together.

I think it means wha you think it means. Call the NAACP! Or is it ASPCA...?
I bought one and during a downhill part of a 5 mile run the heads crashed into the platters.
Those mac users lie.

He starts the segments with a tone just like npr, but I think it is from Monty Python's sound library.
