A two disk raid would only provide redundancy or increased speed for writing. There are no data collection boards I can think of that would produce data at a high enough rate to make ATA100 drives inadequate. I assume this is for some kind of embedded data collect device, in which case you may want to consider an array of wireless transport technologies to an offsite RAID. If is a redundancy concern due to mechanical trouble, look into solid state drives, which are gettig quite large.
.NET is an Enterprise Tier program specification, similar to J2EE in planned functionality. The enterprise tier is where real applications are written, and by real I mean distributed both logically and computationally..NET and J2EE allow programmers to connect services such as databases, webservices, webpages and applicatins together into a larger Enterprise Application that is the sum of its parts. Portions of the UltraSparc IIi have gates (capacitance) in the datapath that let the chip capture state of a computation and finish the result later. This lets the chip do other calculations during the time it would usually be in the wait state. Like compile the bytecode to optimize a loop after iterations have begun, but before it terminates.

However, there is no need for you to ask for all documents, and there are such things ass business practices, even in the "not for profit" government sector. What if some of these documents were about you? Do I have the right to view those things about your person just because my government found it prudent to take records? Clearly no. My rights end where your rights begin.
