The article you linked doesn't support your statements.

You said, "... wikileaks worked with media and government for several months prior to the release," The article only states they have been working with their press partners, and no duration is ever stated; furthermore, the article draws you to believe that wikileaks only informed the government on November 24, 2010, the day the article was posted.

The article mentions that they would release the information as early as that Friday giving the government only two days to react-- that's a far cry from the months you claim.

You then have the benefits of the gmail spam filter with the protection of a spam-bot "resistant" email address because it isn't generic.

I have an account only used for job applications I have handled this way. I don't receive any spam on it because it isn't posted anywhere but my resume and no bots are spamming random email addresses at my domain.

Also, if the child is that young, I'm also of the frame of mind that you should be keeping an eye on their activity any way.

I never said they didn't produce quality games, in fact I said they produce a quality product.

My statement was that the were not a trustworthy company.

Everyone has a good friend who is always late to meet with them. They may be a quality friend; however, they are defiantly not trustworthy if they tell you they will meet you at 5 and don't show up until 6 and it's habitual.

The quality of Blizzard's products doesn't excuse their inability to keep their word. Look at it from an investment stand point. GE is a high growth company, last quarter they came in substantially under their projection and single handedly dropped the Dow 300 points. That effected their credibility. While they may produce the best quality products in the world, it won't make up for them not achieving their goals.

As I mentioned this is something that's been known to Blizzard and they have taken a lot of criticism for it. Which is the reason I mentioned they have been hesitant to release dates.

I know it's not exactly what you were talking about, but when it comes to a software company that people actually like, Blizzard comes to mind. I can't recall hearing a complaint about them; it's always some sort of praise (well-deserved, in my mind).

You must be young, or simply new to the gaming industry, because every Blizzard game has been met with hostility over their inability to meet the dates they set.

If you've noticed with the announcement of Diablo III they have quit announcing dates. Which only creates more animosity over threats of vaporware.

Once they finally get released however, I don't think I've ever been disappointed in a game. I simply don't value them as a company because they are unable to set realistic goals.

    Quality product; however, ultimately untrustworthy.

An unlocked door at a business and an unlocked door at a residence are similar.

Not really. Both would be considered private property. The business could just as easily file trespassing charges as an individual home owner.

The difference is the social acceptance of walking into an open business and an open residence.

For example, in the USA private property owners have the right to limit the access of people to their land. Therefore, I would have to ask to talk a walk on a farmer's land. (Also note that a farm is a business, and I'm sure they don't want you waltzing around on their land with or without a fence)

On the other hand, in Scandinavia it's known as all man's law. Where all men have a right to explore the land. It's accepted that no one can limit where you go, and there are often days to celebrate this concept in which people are encouraged to go explore the landscape.

While, there may be implied differences, it's simply a social issue, there is no legal difference between the two.

The license may give you a lot of freedom now; however, Sun still has the power to change it.

Look at all the great things Sun has developed in the past; however, they attempt to push their control over it and ruin great things. Java comes to mind; Sun decided M$ was taking too many liberties with it so they put their foot down. M$'s response was to develop C#, which only helped drive a divide from Java, and hinder its spread and mass appeal.

On the other hand, I'm willing to bet that Sun would embrace a collaborative effort to take on M$ with Google. However, at the end of the day I lack any sort of respect for the management at Sun and think they are dead set at sitting in the middle, or bottom, of the pack.
