Too bad piracy, Sega pissing off EA, and a multitude of other problems caused it's downfall.

The biggest problem the dreamcast had was the same problem that killed off the Saturn, 32X, Sega CD, Genesis and Master System.

Being produced by Sega. Sega so often brought better technology to market but fucked up the advantage that they had. The NES murdered the Master System because Nintendo understood the importance of getting good game franchises. The Genesis beat the SNES to market by well over a year and could have been so entrenched that no one else could have gotten off of the ground, but instead Nintendo took advantage of the additional development time and not only brought a better product to market but also courted developers to bring out smokin' hot games. If it wasn't for Nintendo's insistence that Mortal Kombat and SFII only be released without some of their violent content, the Genesis would have much sooner. I'm going to completely skip the madness that was the SegaCD and 32X.

The Saturn was technically superior to the the PS1, but Sony had enough developer support to smash it. By the time the Dreamcast was released, Sega had been getting murdered for so long that it never really had a chance.

How about cutting out the sex scenes so we reduce the number of teenage pregnancies. Everyone wants their kids to experience everything, well guess what...they do experience everything when they are young, then get get pregnant, or a STD at age 16 and then guess what, their life is screwed. And why is it screwed...because mommy and daddy let their kids watch sex scenes in movies at age 10 and their kids wanted to do it as soon as they could.

Do you think that the ears and brains of children stop working as soon as the TV goes off? Kids will hear what parents teach them. If parents prepare their children for the world, they have a much better chance of doing well in it.

I watched all kinds of movies with sex scenes when I was a kid. Remember, I was a kid when the Porky's movies were out. Porky's, Slashers and the early 80's beach movies were all a part of my viewing lineup. Know what? When I was 17 and started having sex I was smart enough to wear condoms. That's right. Gratuitus sex scenes in movies didn't make me stupid. Now here I am nearly 14 years later and I have still not caused a pregnancy. Why? Because I didn't want to produce a child before I was ready to raise one. Before the snide comments start, my longest period of "inactivity" was from July 20 1994 through December 27 1994. I've done my fair share of lovemaking and yet, no babies.

A good action film is still entertaining to watch without hearing the 'F' word every 5 seconds.

Play it at half speed, then it will only be every 10 seconds.

"Gay Rights" advocates are making leaps and bounds. Even if we can succeed in getting Roe V Wade overturned, that's still a different can of worms. I'd rather see a kid adopted by a gay couple than eviscerated while still in utero.

But more than that, there are heterosexual couples who wait for YEARS to adopt. Many even adopt foreign children because it's easier and faster than getting one here. There is no shortage of homes for unwanted children.

Of course there are also those who oppose contraception as well.

Much of the debate over abortion is based on belief. Belief that can't be substantiated, and will therefore remain subjective.

For early term abortions, you are absolutely correct. For mid and late term abortions, I disagree. As technology progresses, we'll be able to save more premature babies and it's hard to argue that a baby is a "blob of cells" or inviable when we have others at the same stage of development living in ICUs.

Personally, I believe the answer to be contraception. When effective contraception is universally available, abortion will not be necessary and there will be no grounds to oppose a ban.

My uncle proceeded to give me a short history of Tesla and his work. After that I picked up a couple of books by and about him and learned as much as I could.

Tesla was easily more important to the progress we saw in the 20th century than Einstein was. AC current, AC motors and AM radio were used more than general relativity for things that affected the daily lives of regular people. We even use the 60Hz AC that Tesla designed nerly a century ago.

Hell, I even went to George Westinghouse middle school and once a year there was George Westinghouse day and they never even mentioned Tesla. Edison and Westinghouse really shortchanged Tesla. It seems that now, even history is shortchanging him.
