That's because if the fire is hot enough, it will "crack" the water molecules, liberating both oxygen and hydrogen -- which will of course make the fire much worse.
There have been accidents in steel mills where someone allowed water to becomed trapped unter liquid steel, the problem is two fold first is like putting water on a grease fire the instant evaporation causes the hot grease (or steel) above it to explode and 4000 degree steel can cause the water to crack into H2 and O2. Very bad stuff.
Processors burn hotter than that, how useful would it still be for cooling purposes if it were a gas?
Ever heard of Freon? It was FANTASTIC for cooling purposes even though it's boiling point was MUCH lower than this. This could be used in a heat pump, catch the vapor and condense it, start the process again.
You may have thought it superior, but the majority of people didn't. That's why it failed.
It's not subjective. Bigger screen, colors, backlight. From a technical perspective it was a superior system.
I honestly once went through fresh batteries in under half an hour with the Game Gear, whereas the Gameboy would last seemly endlessly on only two AA's.
Maybe yours was incredibly bad or mine was incredibly good but I used to get at least 2 1/2 hours out of batteries for mine.
The Game Gear simply wasn't portable, it was something you only brought when you knew you could plug it in, and it failed as a result.
It failed, just like all the rest of their competitors failed, because Nintendo is the king in that market.
I didn't miss your point, I just don't agree with it.
You COULD NOT take a Game Gear on, say, a road trip, unless you brought 2 extra 64 packs of batteries to feed it when it got hungry...
And, that is why it failed as a *mobile gaming platform*. You couldn't USE it unless it was plugged into the wall, unless you had a MAJOR battery budget.
Road Trip=Car. Car=Access to 12 volt power. Car Lighter Power Adapter + access to 12 volt power = your point doesn't apply.
There are proper routes you can take in the justice system to get a law like the DMCA repealed, until then breaking it doesn't make you look like anything except a criminal.
Then you need to check your history.
In the US when people wanted to get rid of segregation what did they do? Have sit-ins, those were ILLEGAL at the time. When a couple of Texas lawyers wanted to make abortion legal what did they do? They found a woman who wanted an abortion to use to sue the state. In order to overturn anti-sodomy laws, people had to take part in sodomy in a place where it was illegal.
In order to get rid of a law you have two options, legislative repeal or judicial overturn. With one of those processes, you HAVE to break the law in order to get rid of it.
In order to overturn a law, the most effective way to get it before a court of law is to break it.
the abject hypocrisy is amazing. Because this is Apple using the DMCA there are actually people defending it. Remember when the DVDCA used the DMCA to suppress DeCSS?
People were gathering with torches and pitchforks.
I understand that in some people's eyes Apple can do no wrong, but really, this is almost funny.
I guess you had enough cash to replace all 8 AA batteries ever half hour of game play... I mean, that thing sucked down batteries like a friggin' bat outta hell...
256 colors on a backlit screen used more power than the GBs black and white display. Does this really surprise you?
But porn too. Who else just wants to see Jenna and Ron cuddle?
I think that "porn professionals" are disgusting. I am more into the pro-am thing. A woman who has had 350 money shots, right on her face, is just not appealing to me.
Nokia is making a HUGE mistake with the N-Gage. They're trying to muscle in on two markets at once with this. Nintendo is the undisputed heavyweight champion of mobile gaming, and they have been for half of my life. From the time of the original Gameboy no one has been able to unseat them, dispite better products. Sega's Game Gear, Atari's Lynx, NEC's Turbo Express, and the Pocket Neo Geo were all superior to Nintendo's offering of the day; each and every one of them got their asses stomped by Nintendo. This one will be no different.
They have a large stake in the cell phone market, in a sense they're trying to sell a gaming device to people who just want a cell phone. People who want a cell phone will buy a cell phone, possibly one of Nokia's. Their cell business will eat away potential customers of N-Gage. People who want mobile gaming AND cell phones will buy a Gameboy and a cell phone.
What they've done is put themselves in a no win situation. They're trying to sell things that people either don't need or don't want.
Personally, I despise FACE. I think that it's an affront to free speech rights, but since it has withstood several court challenges, I see no reason why I shouldn't borrow from its strength for my cause.
That's quite significant for a pop-up, don't you think? I mean I'm 100% against that kind of advertising, but $10000 seems incredibly steep.
That's the fucking point. Some crimes are thought to be so heinous that the law is not intended to be a fair punishment, but a draconian deterrent.
Take the 1994 FACE act for example. If an abti-abortion protestor lies down on the sidewalk outside of an abortion clinic, the penalty is a $100,000 fine and a year in jail. Same thing here.
Are games full of "big titties" because the market is mostly male, or is the market mostly male because the games are full of big titties and therefore are unappealing to women?
Chicken. I grew up in the 70's and the market for video games was mostly male then too. There were no breasts in Space Invaders but I remember seeing a line of teenage boys plunking quarters into it for hours on end. In fact, my mother is the only woman that I can remember seeing in the old school arcades and she was only there because I was.
Now I don't feel so bad about warezing Tribes and buying Tribes 2 at a flea market for $2.00
Seriously, I think that Tribes was meant to be warezed. It was a multiplayer only game that had a small footprint, the CD wasn't required to play, and there was no CD key copy protection.
Tribes 2 was shit. That's why the "classic patch" was released for it.
Back when my LAN party group was just getting off the ground we used to have HUGE tribes games. 4 hours would zip past without any of us even realizing it.
Tribes 2 was much better graphically, support for 3d acceleration other than 3dfx helped a lot with that. However, the game play was so radically different from Tribes that the similarity was in name only.
So many people complained about it that they released a "classic patch" to Tribes 2 to bring back some of what made the first tribes so awesome.
When it comes to video games, I am not looking for female characters that I can take home to mom.
I want big titties on a tough as nails ass kicking chick like Lara Croft or B. Orchid, or big titties on a soft helpless babes like the babe in Final Fight or the hookers in GTA:3 and VC.
Video games are like porno, the target market is mostly male. As a result the contents are going to be geared towards male fantasies.

That last item would be enough to entice most people to buy it anyway.
Flip this around and imagine that I decide to circumvent the GPL by taking a piece of GPL software and using its source in piece of closed source commercial software. Wouldn't like that now, would you?
You'd not be "circumventing" the GPL, you'd be violating it.

Is it considered "safe" to buy any of the Nvidia chipset motherboards, or are they still pretty sketchy?
I have an ECS N2U400-A motherboard with an NVidia N Force 2 Ultra chipset. It's fantastic. Rock solid stable and fast.
Don't take my word for it, google up some reviews of motherboards with the chipset. It's good stuff.
