As funny as your comment was, there was once a time when people created "rubber" suits and dressed actors in them. One of the many reasons why the original Star Wars trilogy is far better than the new episodes was the use of creature effects such as these. If you're looking to learn more look up Stan Winston to see a master of this craft.

The difference is in the details. Grand Theft Auto doesn't take itself seriously and its discrimination rides the razor's edge. If you've ever played the GTA series you'd know that it pokes fun at pop culture more than it simulates a life of crime. GTA:Vice City is a GREAT example of this with its Miami Vice and ScarFace references littered throughout the world. This game, on the other hand, blatantly defines the sides of good and evil based on some sort of warped Christian ethics and the entire goal of the game is to convert or kill. At least in GTA I can choose non-violent crimes to commit such as stealing cars or breaking into Area 69.

That's funny. I recall watching Mighty Mouse and Tom and Jerry cartoons while growing up. I also recall a british cartoon called Dangermouse. Once again, I have to explain that copyright protects the EXPRESSION of an idea, not the idea itself. You can create all the cartoon mice you want as long as they don'te resemble the aforementioned or Mickey Mouse, amongst others. Not to mention that true artists learn by being inspired by others work, not by hacking it to their liking.

When it cut to the Master Chief it was real-time in engine. Look carefully at the modeling in places like the hood of the hog (vehicle on its side) or the close-up of the helmet once the MC is wearing it and you'll see texture maps being used to create grooves. If this sequence were all CG then these elements would have been modeled. The XBOX 360 is really that good. Gears of War and Just Cause had some truly amazing graphics and these two games are just the beginning.

I really wish moderators would moderate on the merits of the argument instead of their personal bias. You hate Adobe? Fine, but why moderate this comment as insightful when he's clearly full of shit. While I do not personally like the new Adobe store, it works just fine in Firefox. Also, Photoshop is only $650 unless you're purchasing it elsewhere in the world and fail to mention this fact. The process is designed to let users pick the software they want, the delivery method, alert you to alternative ways to obtain Photoshop (part of the Creative Suite for example), then to check out. I personally found there to be four major steps, and one of those steps was to dismiss the "want to purchase the Creative Suite instead?" dialog, before I was asked to continue shopping or to checkout. Real fucking hard I know. You can also go to the Adobe Photoshop page and click the "purchase Photoshop" link on the right sidebar. You are taken through a similar process with the same number of steps before getting to the secure checkout. It really amazes me to see how fucking stupid self-described computer geeks truly are. Either that or you're a bunch of pathalogical liars. Regardless, you're not as smart as you try to lead others to believe.

Just to clarify your comment, Adobe does not give users a subset of their products when they install trial versions, they get a fully working copy that expires in 30 days. That's plenty of time to evaluate the software and determine if it fits ones needs. The fact that their software is pirated is solely due to people wanting to get something for nothing, which is arguably the root of the anti-copyright argument as a whole.

Sure, I might was a type technique or illustration style (brightly colored icons like Windows XP or Firefox for instance) but in a wholly unique way and the technique or style itself isn't protcted by copyright. Doesn't matter. Even if Copyright went back to the 14 years plus a 14 year extension people will still flagrantly violate copyright. Why? because they want to distribute the latest music and movies via P2P, not stuff from 1992 or 1978 if they want to play it safe. Not only that but they would have to determine is something is still protected between the 1978-1992 time period and that requires effort. When you realize this is simply about getting shit for free you'll finally understand the anti-copyright movement.
