Take your core classes first, especially math. You can take classes that fall into both majors. You can always switch.
I know a lot of Computer Engineers that took a lot of Software classes & that took a lot of Hardware classes. Depends on what you like. Computer Engineers usually focus more on embedded systems and hardware/software. Computer Engineers can do software, I'm an Electrical Engineer and do software development for a living.
If you want to do software go for CS.
Now the twist to all of this, I know more people that WERE engineering students, and graduated with a NONtechnical degress. The drop out rate is huge.
Where is the 5.1 dolby surrond sound? for that much money it better be wired with Bose speakers.
& if I'm going to commit to living in that chair, it better have a fridge. Wouldn't want to have to get up.
Why not elect Cmdr Taco, I think/. has enough votes. Who says you need to be some old Professor - Chancellor? From my experience, academics need to stick to research, not administration.
There is no way you can do this. I know my way around hardware and you can't make silicon explode. Even if you could make a program to overheat the CPU it would just lock up and the program would stop, all the overclockers know that. The chemistry and physics just don't add up to a bomb. This is a late April fools, and a stupid one!
I happen to be an MCSE that is sitting next to my Linux Server. But I support a network of Windows and Mac. If I want a job MCSE helps me get it, and get paid more! I think that Gates is being a Fscking A**Hole about all this. He's just trying to push a product, maybe he should try to get hardware vendors and software vendors to support 2000.
I used the old style MS keyboard and loved it until I wore out the enter key. Now I have the new Pro USB version (with the "normal" arrow keys)and it is great, except it tilts the wrong way. I agree that the mouse is the villian. I've been using the logitech Marble FX+, but I think that the key is a wristpad.
That is the first thing I noticed. Apple wonders why they had so many problems with the iMacs and the "easy" internet. They were plugging things into the wrong port.
Since when was reintroducing technology a quantum leap??? Improvement yes. I think I'll give a quantum leap to airplanes, a new fangled thing called the BiWing, two wings for more lift... And this whole no mouse pad, lets see you keep it clean. LOGITECH is the only way to go.

You could really make some cool background images in 3D+. Maybe have you XTerms lay on a beach and bend due to the rocks underneath.
Might have to settle with laying on the beach using an Xterm...
