What commands can you use to do the SAME thing in *NIX? Can you reconfigue dns, Apache, or the IP address? Add users as easy as useradd? Change passwords with pwd? is there a websinterface for all these commands in windows?

My wife is disabled, and she is of the same mind. The ability to go to a site is not a "right". Is it a right because an act of congress says so? My best friend is the VP of a major movie theater chain. The entire crporation has complied with the ADA. They have deaf equipment. Those are popular. They had them b4 it was law. However, putting braille on the wall to display a list of the movies has been a waste of money. No one uses it.

Even though I'm not a liberal red diaper baby, I think Martin Luther King was one of the better DEmocratic Spokesmen. He was not the left-wing of today. He said "Don't buy from any company that won't hire you". He was referring to the blacks, but it applies everywhere. For example, MS is 85% immigrants and H-1B Visa workers, and they expect Americans to buy their products, yet they won't hire Americans. The economy is not controlled by the "elite" who are for globalism and cheap labor. Keep us out of work, but still expect us to be good consumers.

So, the big one lists everything that I can remember using, and then they say it's too convoluted.

I'm against war, but it sometimes can't be avoided. Believing we should all live in peace is an idyllistic attitude. *I* believe in peace, however unfortunately there are others who don't have my view point. Take 9/11 as an example..they weren't offering an olive branch, my friend. I want peace, but not at the loss of our freedoms and way of life. Do you protect whats yours? If we believed everyone was inherently good, we wouldnt put locks on our doors, and our prisons wouldnt be overflowing and we wouldnt have the entire Muslim Middle East trying to eradicate our existance. Peace is a noble cause, but it's at times unavoidable. Attacking Iraq now, showing them that we are not to be toyed with is better than Hussein emptying out the Uranium mines in Zaire to launch some missiles at us. Hussein is a smart ma. He wouldnt just launch missiles. Biological warfare is his game. If we can't even protect ourselves from West Nile, what makes you think we can protect ourselves from smallpox?

Damn, my mother could do my job if all she did was call tech support.(That's how alot of people do their jobs, actually) I'll give an example. I bought a Microtek scanner last week that is compatible with Linux. Well, sane kept coredumping whenever I tried using the scanner. I checked the sane site and no details on this in the buglist or anywhere else. So, I scanned the microtek site for any info..no dice.
Did a google and deja search...nothing on it. So, from experience, I figured I had a dud..returned it, got a new one, and it worked.
