I know the feeling of wanting to urgently write something down. Thats why I always have a pen and a pad as well as my laptop in my backpack with me. I just find a pen and a pad so much more convenient if you want to do more than just write a quick note, like draw a diagram or the likes =)
You could always play open source games. They are fun, they work, they are free (mostly =P), and most likely the programmers had fun programming them even without the prospect of monetary gain.
Heres a nice wikipedia list of open source games:

My IT teacher warned me about storing data on DVDs written with an ordinary DVD writer...apparently the data is still readable after quite some time, but the quality diminishes significantly. I myself have experienced this with normal CDRs. I backed up my music on to CDs and after a year of leaving them on the shelf, there was a lot of noise in the background. I'd say optical devices aren't the best way to go. Apparently the good ol' magnetic tapes are quite secure...if you don't happen to be living in a giant magnet oO"
I guess how many times to the moon and back the text could go would be the better approach...since 55.000 is a very large number for a 4th grader.
And Fepic Ale for us? =D
It could be Alain Robert's biggest challenge!

Hes not as good as Leonardo DiCaprio, but he's ok, I guess...
So...what does "case by case basis" mean? They might give you more installations but don't have to if they don't want to? oO"

I for one will never stop my indy-music CD collecting. I like to support the artists if they are with a good, fair lable.
This reminds me of the PSP...wow...history repeats itsself =)
