Pax Romana of the Roman Empire (207 years = 27 BC to 180 AD), the Pax Britannica of the British Empire (99 years = 1815–1914) and the Pax Mongolica of the Mongol Empire (88 years = 1206 - 1294).
Note that the Guardian story is in the past tense -- Liu Dali was jailed for three years in 2004 -- today most WoW gold farming is done by bots. Perhaps there is a more current story of worldwide bot coders.

Yes, with over 6 million paying $14.99 per month, you can give the software away for free. That business model is working well for Blizzard.
I have learned a lot of electronics by using a small programmable controller like the Arduino -- they call it "physical computing" where you have several A/D and D/A ports to control.
A starting kit is less than $40...

This type of learning tool has the advantage of a PC/MAC interface via Bluetooth, WiFi, Ethernet while at the same time using an oscilloscope to look ant both analog and digital waveforms. Enjoy.
