Actually, it was entirely related to the discussiongenerated by the parent post. The point I was trying to make was that even though Atheists aren't nuts, they are treated like they are group of subhumans by most of spiritual America and therefore would be kicked out of any jury pool without having to resort to extreme measures.

And for the record, I'm not an Atheist, I'm Agnostic ;-) Thank you for so kindly demonstrating *exactly* the point I was trying to make with your tirade against my attention seeking attempt to "advertise (what are not actually my) your personal beliefs." :P

That being said, I do find some of the points you make utterly fascinating. How can one talk about being pro-atheist if atheism means you believe in no Creator? Exactly what are they supposed to talk about? Nothing? Because essentially thats what they believe in as a Creator, nothing. I myself, as an agnostic, find the whole mess much ado about nothing either way. IF we are ever meant to know, it will occur. Until then endless speculating one way or another is merely a waste of time and effort that could better be pursued doing other things. (And no, the irony is not at all lost on me that I'm sitting on my butt posting this to Slashdot as I say that.)

P.S. One of these days I'd love to meet one of these 'True Christians' that you speak of, because in my 39 years of experience, I most certainly have not done so yet.

You know what though? I've been playing CoD: Black Ops in 3D, it looked KICK ASS. I played Mafia II in 3D, guess what? It looked KICK ASS. I've watched at least half a dozen flicks now on my TV. For the most part, it all still looked KICK ASS. You don't want it? Fine, we get it; no one's forcing it on you. They still show all the 3D flicks in 2D, most of the HDTVs out there for sale are still 2D. So don't buy it, but please STFU already about 3D fail this, 3D fail that. Its not about that and you know it. Just today I fired up steam and bought 11 games, one indie bundle,(Pretty much solely for Crayon Physics, which I played the demo of last year where it stuck in my mind), the new monkey island installments and an older game that I wanted to reacquire. Total spent? 24 bucks.

I'd love to play black-ops, but not at 60 bucks. I bought MW2 at that price, the last 1/3rd of the single player campaign sucked, and the multi-player was cheap radar/wall hacky/wonky death from above garbage, and don't even get me started on the console bullshit matchmaking. Just because they throw 30 million bucks into production does not guarantee them my hard earned cash either. Will I buy it and play it? Probably, once it hits 20 bucks on steam in a year or so. Or I can pick it up used at about that price for the xbox.

Too many of us have been burned by buying something that was nothing but over-hyped crap. Apparently it's not just me who is tired of it, I'm no longer bleeding edge, I don't have to have it right when it comes out, specially if I know its something that I'll be able to buy at 1/2 price in 6 months.

This is a control issue, and they recognize that its much more difficult to control someone who has access to infinite amounts of information at their fingertips. I know, it sucks for the judges and lawyers that they can't exercise their type A personalities and run the whole thing as a racket anymore, but they seriously need to get over it. You can mod me as a troll if you want to, but the simple fact is, that law and legal procedures is merely another avenue where access is going to be a game changer. They can either realize it, and change the rules of the game to adapt, or they can spend endless and countless hours fighting against it, probably by way of what amounts to draconian force, and still lose in the end.
