Even though very few of them actually do the flying, there sure are a hell of a lot of them throwing candy around, burning our flag and generally pissy towards everyone and everything that isn't muslim. Besides, again, more crazy shit, please stop believing in fairies and mythical beings and join the atheists and the agnostics of the world in trying to move the world forward in a way that doesn't involve prayer/wishing!
Burning a book filled with fantasies is not 'evil crazy shit'. Insulting someone because they live their life according to said fantasies is not 'evil crazy shit'.
'Evil crazy shit' is believing in such bullshit to begin with in such a manner that you can cut peoples heads off, that you fly airliners into buildings full of people, that you can stone women to death for screwing someone else, and that you're willing to bomb schools full of children. THAT is 'evil crazy shit'. I know it's hard, but try not to confuse the two.
I can't even believe I have to point this out, its quite unreal. As for the muslims, and every other bat shit crazy mother fucker who can't figure out that NO we don't know whats out, fuck em, they need to get over it and if stunts like this manage to help drag their stupid screaming asses into this century, so be it.
All current 3D display technology falls well short of producing fully "believable" input.
While I agree to some extent with the majority of your post, I'm going to have to call foul on this one. Go watch a 3D movie at some point and when the first "in your face" 3d moment happens, watch what every kid under the age of 12 does.
They reach for it.....
Granted this isn't on the small screen but I know when I first brought home our 3D set, my daughter (7) had a similar reaction ad of course we are talking about the under 12 group, but that doesn't make the point any less valid, anything that makes the viewer try to physically interact with it is obviously producing fully believable output.;-)
Was that you spent the last 1/3rd of the game running around killing American soldiers. I found it to be a very jarring sort of set of circumstances, I suppose thats what it was designed to be, but then again I thought the story in MW2 was heavily convoluted with crap and was a terrible sequel (at least story wise) to the original MW anyhow. That being said, I can't imagine being the Taliban is going to be any fun. Do I get to stone chicks to death and cut off their noses too? Perhaps I'll get to play as someone who lets off a car bomb next to a line of school children heading home?
Geez, in addition to watered down crappy console ports, now I have to play as a bad guy doing shitty things all the time. I'm thinking CoD as a series has jumped the shark.
At least I'll have SOMETHING to watch on my 3D tv soon aside from monsters and aliens. That shits getting really old, HEAR ME CONTENT COMPANIES? You fucking bastards.
I don't think the video quality matters less, I recently bought a bluray player and hooked up to netflix streaming on a 55" Samsung. One of the first things I watched was the new Alice in Wonderland movie and there were a few scenes in there (most notably when she first lands in the eat me, drink me room...) where the blacks were HORRIBLY pixelated, enough so that I commented to my wife, it was quite literally jarring to see how bad it was and definitely detracted from the viewing experience. I also had the same thing happen during a recent session on Netflix where I was watching the movie Heat. Lots of blacks in the opening sequences that were just horribly pixelated, Im not sure if it was just that the first part of the movie didn't have enough buffered up so they decreased quality in an area where it was most notable or what, but again is was jarring enough that I mentioned it to my teenage boy (he noticed it too).
Was it enough to make me stop watching in either case? No....
but it was bad enough to make me sit up and literally say...WTF is with all this pixelation? If I'm noticing that and not the plot/characters/movie, then its definitely lessoning my enjoyment of the media.
precisely because of what he seems to be complaining about, because they are feature packed and can do just about anything. Are they more difficult to learn and learn properly? Sure, but guess what? That's why its a job. Just like everyone else!
Your emergency room doctor knows the steps to bring you back from the half dead, very rarely does he need to use those skills when compared to everything else he does in the day. (broken bones, burns, run of the mill colds),but when he NEEDS that certain skill set to solve a major problem he has it available to him. Most other professions are the same way. You'll only need the hardcore stuff every great now and then; 95% of what you do will be the same old run of the mill, but when you need the hardcore, you need it, that's why they teach these languages as standards.
What? Because chemistry and genetics have nothing to do with medicine? OK, hows this, just to sate your curiosity, several medical programs that are not directly OD or MD where they actually have the students dissect *human* corpses rely on dissection of other species because of their internal similarity.
So...in other words..insurance that's basically useless for:
A) Anyone who has a chronic health problem. B) Anyone who occasionally visits a doctor for routine health care and check ups OR c) for a family or couple.
Call of Duty/Modern Warfare is dead to me....I got screwed on MW2 and I won't do it again, and I can hold a grudge for a long time, my PS2 died shortly after launch, and guess how many Sony products I've purchased in the last 9 years? Can you say 0? That includes Sony movies, music, music players, computers, games, etc... screw em. Activision can find out the hard way too.
Might make sure that people aren't drawing attention to themselves, if LG hadn't started the fight, perhaps AUoptics might not have stepped in to finish it. Perhaps this will have a bit of a chilling effect in 'throw the first punch' lawsuits where it's not entirely sure where their own patent portfolios stand.
But we aren't talking about one persons modem we are talking an aggregate. I realize that sending out information is going to slow your download speeds as an individual user, but that's not what we are talking about here, we aren't talking about a modems limited ability to upload, we are talking about the physical mediums ability to carry information, and in that sense the medium is agnostic regarding which direction packets are heading in.
Last I checked Coaxial cable isn't like a river, it sends signals equally in both directions.....Its not like it has some magical quality that makes electrons flow in one direction (towards your computer) much easier than the alternative (towards the net). Just because the ISP doesn't want to provide you with the bandwidth doesn't mean shit. This is exactly why important infrastructure needs to be socialized. Yes, fuck you I said it, publicly owned. Everyone pays for equal parts up and down. This is an completely artificial market.

I don't think its wrong at all, aside from the 3G aspect of the most expensive one, my eeePC will do everything that an Ipad will do and more at half the price. It's just as portable and I have full control over it, granted, its not a touch pad, but...honestly? Big freakin' deal.
Why it is that they would stick with a 256 bit memory bus (aside from the fact that clock for clock its really the same speed as a 512 bit bus of slower memory?) Is it just because the rest of the card is a bottle neck? I don't think I can recall another card, that when all other things were equal, a faster bit bus didn't result in a sizable increase in processing power? It was obviously implemented in the previous generation of cards, so why not stick with it, use the GDDR5 and then end up with a card thats even faster?
Can anyone explain to me why they would do this (or not do this, depending on how you look at it?)
Have you seen how much they charge for broadband access via wireless? Seeing as its already normal practice, its a nice way of forcing all those DSL customers to pay by the bite. Not to mention where ever the government mandates an update to necessary infrastructure, a huge hand out isn't far behind.
As far as AT&T is concerned though, I have them, and my calls drop at my house all the time in a city of around a million people. Screw them, course it's not just them, Verizon and Cricket both dropped calls at my house too. A-holes, all of em. Each one of them should change their slogan to "Providing the least amount of service possible to as many people as we can dupe for the most amount of money that the market will bear."
Now THATS a true company mission statement if ever I heard one...
Id be tempted at this point to just release the sucker in the wild and post up links to any and all places anyone who might even *slightly* want a c64 emulator for the iPhone might be, after restoring the BASIC functionality as it was in the c64. Just to spite em.....
