Potatoes? Oh you're thinking northern maine. . . it's like an entirely different state to most people that live below Bangor. And come on we've got more than potatoes that come on trailers, we've got overpriced shellfish.
ah a masshole I see, why can't you guys just stay home, send your money up here, and stop clogging our turnpike and beaches . . . that's the quebecer's job
Actually the state is pushing ahead with the project due to a recently found $90mil budget increase. Not to mention that the Gov. King has stated that he would veto any state budget that took money away from the fund. . . but they only have enough money to last for around 5 years.
There were rumors a couple of months ago, that there is an Evil Dead 4 tentatively in the works.
Can you confirm or deny this rumor, and if said rumor is true, could you elaborate your
involvement in this project.
On another note, there was another rumor that you were at one point
the choice for the recent live-action release of the Tick. Were you at any point in consideration for this part?
As a follow up to my own post I forgot to mention, a processor may be able to run at 2.2 Ghz but what kind of instruction code does is it able to run, It must be able to do something.
It seems to me to be one of those we said we did it first so we did things. Like M$ and java. It just seems like they are just trying to tell Intel that someone else is doing it first. Since Intel is in the 1.7-8 range
There is actually the formentions group of geeks getting together and forming an ISP. We have one in Southern Maine, called Points South. They are more knowledgable about computers than most people. They are still in business after 5+ years. We've been with them since for duration. They offer much better prices than any of the other ISP 's in the area.
Yeah, but with this compression rate, You need a beast of a machine to view it, and an even bigger one to encode it. All in all it seems to be a good format, but you do loose some quality, and having a DVD already, as most people do, is it really worth it to go through all of the trouble. . . any idea if there are any linux plans in the work for this format?
Yeah, I agree that it's cool that it can be done, but why do it? It says...Hi you have a really fast computer...as long as you are with a power outlet. What about people that would like the extra speed but are on say a plane. This also has to make you think. If INTEL can do it with a Notebook computer who says that they are not doing it already with your PC at home. They could have been doing it for the last 5 years.

Actually while they will be giving a laptop to all Maine 7-8th Graders, they have not yet done so. They are running tests in the schools right now.
Sorry man, it ain't true(www.snopes2.com), or at least never been confirmed for those

Say you're a pirate wannabe and you wanna learn how to be a pirate . . . or you Die and wanna find yourway to the best level of the afterlife
Some questions to ask
1. What is the FlOp rating?
2. Is it meant to only do one simple operation?
3. Why hasn't many of us heard this before?
4. Does it run Linux yet?

I never knew that there could be such trechery at a company. GASP. Seems like a good read, So we may have to pick it up.
Well I believe that DVD's can't be correctly displayed on most linux boxen. It's the only reason to keep it up on my laptop

Some of us /. readers are environmentally conscious, we don't want our forests and lakes and rivers distroyed by the government or businesses.
A vote for Nader does not = a vote for Bush
A vote for Harry Browne = a vote for Gore HA
I wonder if they could find a resonable way to make a giagantic wristwatch with this thing a good novelty item
I also agree, after reading the article, it seems like their new rating system is based on a simple form of gambling. It makes no sense.
