I'm with you. I fail to see what these guys are complaining about. Did they foolishly believe that 'No Contract' meant they were going to get their $500-$700 for phone for free. It needs to get paid for somewhere.
Between Win8 not catching any traction and declining PC sales, is MS destined to be the nothing more than a high profile patent troll? Are they already there?
I simply got fed up w/ all the paper lying around. I already have too much paper lying around wo/ adding magazines to the piles.I don't like having to keep the magazine w/ me for when an opportunity comes along to read a few pages, my tablet is always w/ me. I only subscribe to digital anymore and read them on my 7" tablet
By the time I got ready retire my higher end P4 Dell desktop and laptop, I was immersed enough in portable devices that I just picked up a Chrome box to cover what I needed for desktop. Mostly to have a larger screen available. I see no reason to go spend money for W7 or 8 devices.
I think having something available like "Inactive Account Manager" is a good idea. It could be set up to either nuke, or give an estate executor legal access as desired by the account owner. Some of us may not want to leave the people we leave behind hanging.
While I tend to agree, on personal aspects, with the guy that's stage IV, I was thinking more of business type things. I sell real estate, I would hate to go out thinking I left someone unable to complete a sale or purchase and thus be unable to get on with their own lives because something happened to me. Maybe you're a coder and the project will die with you without the research you've accumulated. I don't think that because we're dying, we stop caring.
Yes, we are using more & more wireless access. I am under the impression that the number of desktop computers being used is going down at a similar rate to the increase in wireless. It seems like people are, more and more, talking to those wireless access points with less power hungry devices such a cellphones, tablets, and netbooks as opposed to desktop computers w/ CRTs.
It seems like all those 300 to 500 watt desktops shutting down, not to mention all the CRT displays that have recently gone away, should more than offset the access points.
Maybe not...
Android is nothing more than Linux w/ a custom UI. Nokia had it's opportunity with Linux [Meego] and chose to abandon it. Oracle markets it own version of Linux.
When it comes down to it, Microsoft is free to follow Facebook's lead and build a phone around Linux as well:)
and the honest people weren't a problem to begin with. I keep trying to figure out how they plan to get criminals to submit to a background check before buying their gun in a back-alley or stealing it from someone down the street.
"I'm sorry, but there is a 5 day waiting period before you can steal that. We have to run a background check on you. Sorry, government regulations."
I 2nd this. They already have a "guest" setup that I don't think saves anything unless they log into a (their own?) gmail account, then it saves it there...
I had not yet read the DigitalReview on it, but I do respect them and had consulted their reviews on more than one photography product before making my mind up as to what to spend my dollar on. If the review was bad enough that GoPro would do something like this, the GoPro is no longer in consideration.
...and the taxes were more to pay for European wars (the services) that the colonists did not see themselves as part of AND had no say (representation) in. The European wars often did have American theaters to them. The 7 Years War was know locally as the French and Indian War.
I fail to see where someone on a computer is any less valid a target than roads, railroads, ships, ports, & factories have been in past wars. All may contain civilians, but all are contributing to the war effort.
BTW - "proportional"? What does that have to do with the situation?
My previous Thinkpad experience was an A31P. I finally just parted with it, reluctantly, a couple of weeks ago. Newer Thinkpads, up through the X61 were ones I very much wanted, but couldn't justify the price. At that point I do think they started going downhill for a while. This one actually looks to me like it has possibilities again.
I really like the idea of a MIL-SPEC. I do think it would have been better with a replaceable battery, but in trying to keep up with the thinness of the competitions products...
I was leery of chiclet type keyboards, but now that I have gotten used to the ones I got with a couple of Motorola products, I find I prefer them. Keep in mind that one thing I am NOT is a touch typist...
Once they come up with the touchscreen version, I may have to look at a Thinkpad again. Now, if it was only available with Linux...
Of course, when I wrote this, I did not realize that they were signing on to a set of standards for libel.
In this light, it sounds like when they started offering concealed carry permits for firearm here in Alaska. Without a permit, concealed carry was illegal, but normally just a misdemeanor. If you had the concealed carry, the same action could became a felony.
Seems that as registered members of the press corp, these bloggers could have access to more events & functions. This would mean more ammunition for their blogs and less risk for what they say.
I tend to be with you, but my preferred is Gnome. I constantly end up assisting people with those others you mentioned. It is generally not that difficult finding my way around those others, but I am having more difficulty with Windows.
The last version of Windows I used as a daily driver was 2000, I get by OK with XP, but anything newer I have difficulty with. I doubt that I have more than 2 hours on MACs in my life, and I started working with computers in the early 80s.
I personally never knew the Vikings had this optical compass thing going, but I see interesting possible ties to the Polynesians.
I spent about 20 years in the jewelry industry and I learned that calcite, at one time, was often mistaken for Diamonds. Calcite deposits are what gives Diamond Head in Hawaii it's name. The calcite was mistaken for Diamonds.
I wonder what the possibilities are that Polynesians used "Sun Stone" compasses to help find their way around the Pacific?
Which is why if T-Mobile were available in my part of the world, I would at least try their service.

...that was a passing thought ;) Am I ready to pay $1500? Not yet.

We now have the frog in the pot of cold water and are slowly turning up the heat. You turn it up too fast, and the frog will jump out ;)

Doesn't seem that long ago people were coming up extensions so that Firefox, and other browsers, could masquerade as IE...

Wasn't most, if not all, of this information in the public domain? If it was public domain, didn't Aaron have as much right to it as anyone else?
I ain't gonna buy that bloated pig anyway!!
