    The problem is the mentality that something is only worth doing if it makes you feel better right now. This "solution" only makes things worse. It's like a parent trying to get compliance by bribing their toddler with candy.

    That's what I hate about shanty towns. No food or running water but every shack has a hardwood floor and is filled with antique furniture. This morning there was a guy outside my office begging for a few coins so I told him: "I will buy you some drugs but I won't give you money. You'll only spend it on a Louis XV side table." You have to be tough with these people or they'll never learn.

    It's a rudimentary light pipe really. Clever but not much use unless you're directly underneath a flimsy roof. That said, I'd like to see more real light tube installations in multistory buildings. Sunlight beats both LED and fluorescent in energy efficiency and light quality.

    No what I really want is missing half the game because of commercials, endless repeats of missed goals, close-ups of players faces and/or third rate celebs in the stands. Think of the possibilities this system will bring to that!

    I'm starting to wonder what's gotten into the water... the current generation of young geeks/nerds seems to be rather supremely stupid and lacking respect for the property and privacy of others.

    Kids these days take their inspiration from the great leaders both in business and in politics.

    They wanted to know who was leaking their secrets so they could harrass and persecute them and anon.penet.fi was an anonymous email relay used by the leakers. Now why do I get this persistent sense of deja-vu when reading the news these days?
