  2. Pass an ordinance that requires the incumbents to respond to request to prepare their poles within (x) time or face penalties of $(y) dollars per hour. If the incumbents tell the city to pack sand, invoke eminent domain and kick their butts to the curb (revoke their semi-monopolies). After all, Google is standing by and ready to fill the need.
      Can you tell IANAL?

    If that doesn't work, maybe brave volunteers could start removing AT&T and Comcast equipment from the poles to serve the public interest.

    Cable which can barely do 1080i on a good day. I have seen some broadcasts that were less thsn 480

    How will the new TV with ATSC 3.0 broadcast TV spy/target ads at me if it isn't on Wifi or ethernet?

    I personally found 57 to be the best thing ever, and none of my extensions broke because I was ready for this update 6 months ago. BUT you don't hear me yelling about it on a has-been tech forum.

    Anyway thanks for sharing, now fuck off to Chrome.

    The more I realize that I can just import my bookmarks into Chrome and treat FF like I did with the netscape browser so many years ago. Remove the app and forget about it.

    The major thing that makes me want to ditch FF is that the extensions and addons in chrome won't just stop working all at once like it will with 57.

    The library here sucks but there is one 60 miles from me that has a better selection than family video (which I am amazed is still open). The local library will borrow and lend books from that library (if you don't mind waiting a week to check it out) but not DVDs or Bluray.

    If they have a website, check to see if they have services like streaming tv shows/movies or ebooks. You may be surprised...

    Most libraries have shelves full of Blu-Ray and DVD movies to lend.

    Some libraries allow you to stream movies with your membership (in addition to ebooks and music) for free.

    Check with, and donate to your local libraries. They can use the money or time.

  15. I think the most common explanation is Drunk Amazon purchases late at night. I know some people who have had problems with Ambien shopping as well.

    Online vendors misleading information on what you're buying versus what you'll receive.

    Just crappy merchandise. Knockoffs,something that's already been returned, items that have been pre-damaged for your enjoyment.

    Clothes that don't fit, I have a hard enough time getting things in a store that are supposed to be the same size, but aren't. The same goes for shoes.

    That being said. Candy, Hellman's Mayonnaise, I'm ok with buying online. I probably won't return things like that.

    Would a third party to have control over the swap tech? A more limited and standard box design of battery size, shape, weight so a third party can swap the battery out?

    Thats limiting on advanced new designs and what if an issue happens?

    Who has to make a fault good again? The swap service? The drone maker?

    Invest in placing battery packs and drones all around the USA? It would be like a car company having its own branded filling station a car of that brand would have to plan to find for any longer drive.

    All that got worked out with filling stations.

    It works for propane tanks....

    I'm guessing Amazon Drones, servicing the inevitable Amazon Electric Cars, with built in Alexa are more what I was thinking...

    Passwords for something you care enough about to protect are only the start. Businesses have been using TFA either Secure ID or via text for years.
