Is this standard procedure for EVERY criminal case? Are the names of other defendants published for every trial to come out of that court? I know most cases are public record that anyone can access if they care.

Every state requires its own special gasoline blend which is the most asinine concept ever developed. If California runs out of California blend they cannot buy blends designed for other states. If Nevada runs out of gas, tough shit they have to wait for the refinery to make more. What makes these two states require different gas? All the cars are made the same, a car sold in Alaska can run just fine with gas from Arizona so what is the problem here? Don't get me started on how no new refineries have been built in over 30 years. You don't make money by building refineries that's for sure.
Once you realize how much energy is contained in a pound of gasoline and compare that to a pound of lithium batteries you'll understand why. Electric cars will remain a gimmick until cold fusion becomes a reality. Until then try and match the power in petroleum, you can't.
Because its more of a barebones distro. You add only the parts you need and maybe learn a bit in the process as well. Today I don't think you could even begin to configure Ubuntu using only a text editor. On a normal day do you even use 10% of the bundled programs on Ubuntu?
A feature was discovered that allows you to do your own decoding. Otherwise this dongle is only good for TV reception in Europe. Now you can receive any kind of analog or digital data as long as it fits in the bandwidth window. Use an upconverter and you can scan the shortwave bands in 2MHz chunks. This $20 dongle does what WinRadio charges $500 for.
Its a win for the prosecutor's record and saves the time of a jury trial. If Everyone charged with a crime opted for a jury the courts would be back logged for decades.
They are going to have to devote time and resources toward preparing and releasing documentation and then maintaining it. All this so a few oddballs with nothing better to do can shoehorn linux onto something and giving it less functionality then the native OS.
From a business stand point its not worth doing linux support. It will take more resources and cash and the linux folks will never be happy with whats given to them.

The point is you can tune from 60-1700MHz (with an L band gap) continuously. Show me a similar receiver for the same price.
