Instead of picking a filesystem and moving forward people will moan and cry and eventually split into a few different groups with beta level implementations. Sound on Linux is a great example. Two completely different sound drivers that both work half assed. What's the word with XFS these days?
I'll bet you this guy probably spent a few hours in the crazy house but they discharged him. Like the guy who shot up the mental hospital in Pittsburgh. They were called to the shooters apartment sometime earlier but never admitted him. The hospital was too lazy to do the paperwork.
Because the dynamic range is too great. When the dialog is at an acceptable level the other noises (gunshots or explosions) cause physical discomfort to my ears. Movies on VHS were never like this, as soon as DVDs came out this nonsense started. Look I know car crashes and explosions are loud but come on I'm watching 2D images while sitting on my couch here. You are right about music having no more dynamic range. I do take issue with that. I just like the idea of a hard limit. The volume is set to a level and nothing should be able to go over that level.
All I know is VLC added a real compressor plugin and its made my movie watching so much better. I actually looked into finding an HDMI audio decoder chip to run the analog audio through a hardware compressor and then re-encode it.
Easier to install? Hardly. Its nearly identical. Don't tell me complicated windows gave you problems. This is just like the V chip inside every tv manufactured for the last 20 years. Must it be enabled for your tv to operate? No.
It also lacks HDMI.... Nobody really cares about how open this board is except for the few loudmouths on this site. The fact that the boards sell out so quick is proof.
None of these improvements feel any faster. Pages still load as quickly as they did a decade ago (provided your connection was fast). Why can't they make anything render faster?
I rooted my Optimus V for that very reason. The internal storage was full from just a handful of apps installed by me. It got to the point where apps could no longer update. Someone was nice enough to include all the rooting tools in a zipfile with a batch file to walk you through. After that get Titanium Backup and uninstall what you want. Just be careful because some apps are needed by the OS.
The "classic" episodes are so dry, long and drawn out, and so dialog heavy. I've tried watching episodes from every Doctor and they all bore me to death. I know they had limited budgets back then but come on. Bubble wrap with green spray paint is supposed to be a giant insect arm? High school plays have better effects than that.
For the people who don't program, can you define why its "horrible"?
Sounds like a really old troll.
Mark Cuban is a self made billionaire.
I remember the days when POS terminals were a glorified calculator. Making them out of cheap PCs did not make anything better.
School teachers don't hunt, collect guns, or target shoot?
The latest news story is the weapons were not bought by the killer. They belonged to his mother.

Never heard of google? http://www.48fpsmovies.com/48-fps-theater-list/
This is a good starting point http://lifehacker.com/5920290/how-to-fix-movies-that-are-really-quiet-then-really-loud
I don't have any type of surround setup. IMHO it doesn't add much to my movie experience and seems like a toy for the sound editors.
My old Apex player had a setting for dynamic range but it never seemed to do much. These days anything not on live tv is played by my computer.

I look at it this way. People have complained and the market did not fix itself so now government has to step in. I'm no fan of big government either.
Tucker & Dale was awesome and very entertaining. A good twist on the old slasher films of the 80s.
Or simply shoot it into the sun.
Always wondered who made that stereo in Christmas Vacation!

So how is the scrap yard going to match a pile of crumpled up copper pipes back to what was inside your house?
