I was working on a Linksys Quadcopter with the help of friends at work:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRzf-Yvx3uk
This actually used the router and WiFi (I think one of the first quadcopters to do so) with a home-made web server to take commands from a PC. The web server relayed commands over the router's UART to an Atmel ATtiny2313 chip. The program used to send commands to the router used a standard PC flight simulator stick.
Documented a lot of what was done (more pics / videos) on my web page... was afraid to link directly for fear of being slash dotted:).
Per application volume control? Is that done in software or hardware?
If it's done in software, then this features is as equal as adding a pole in the back of my car that drags sparks on the street as I drive. Sure it might look cool having sparks fly while I drive, but it wastes resources and slows down the car for something I don't really need or want.
I think there needs to be some trials to see if it was actually the high levels of testosterone that causes the infertility or the high levels of lead and melamine that they probably added in to save money.
I'm tempted to put up pro-Tibet / anti-Chinese government things on my website just so they block me. Maybe it will help cut down on hacker attempts and spam email.
Spread a good message and hinder the jerks.. it's win-win if you ask me.
I use drums++ (http://dpp.mikekohn.net/) to do my drum programming on Linux and record with either Timidity or a Dr. Rhythm drum machine into a Tascam digital 8 track.
I could think of so many reasons why VB is a terrible language and terrible to teach to anyone, both from the language itself and Microsofts runtime environment for it. But really I think Edsger Dijkstra said it best:
"It is practically impossible to teach good programming to students that have had a prior exposure to BASIC: as potential programmers they are mentally mutilated beyond hope of regeneration."
I bought this cd (Velvet Revolver) a couple days ago. The first thing I did when I got inside my house is threw it in my computer CD player and ripped it to mp3's (using GRIP on Slackware 9.something).
No problems here. Infact i'm listening to one of the mp3's right now.
If you own a Dell and their tech support screws you like they screwed me.. i'd highly recommend a Glad bag. Infact, you should be able to fit other things in there and when you carry it out to the front of your driveway, it will hold up...
Of course cereal matters. It's food.. all nerds need food.. therefore there is nothing wrong with a little cereal commercial mixed in with normal slashdot articles...
Not that any of my software is important, but to help alienate SCO I've changed all my licenses so that my software cannot be installed on SCO operating systems:

Maybe other free software developers will do the same?/mike

Amazing. Three months ago Slashdot was making fun
of Al Gore because he was a pathological liar. Now slashdot supports him. Slashdot wants a pathological liar for president?
I wonder how much Al Gore is paying Slashdot for
the endorsement:)
Hmm.. The "I created the Internet" incident was
kinda goofy... but the Union Label song lie...
now THAT is freakin' scary...
I used to send stuff to Taganrog, Russia using
the US Postal Service. I don't think anything
has every costed more than $10-15 to send. The
only problems I've had was it usually takes around
3 to 4 weeks for the package to get there and
there is a chance your package will get lost in
the mail and disappear. I've also heard (altho
I've never had this problem I think) that their
customs have a tendency to sometimes open packages
and take stuff inside. The worst I had tho is
at least one package that disappeared and once
I sent a video tape and when my friend got it
she said it looked like someone put their foot
through it to break it (of course she blames
the American gov't.. I have my doubts about
that... )
If you're putting pictures and stuff into database I think you're really making things harder and slower than they need to be.... it's better to insert a path to a picture on your harddrive than to put the whole thing in... (the longer the row, the slower the select...

My project that converts PHP scripts written for MySQL into PHP scripts for Postgres:)
And this is the wierdest part of the whole situation. The people who want to pay to support asp2php aren't businesses, but people who want to see me continue with the project.
I wouldn't feel right taking money unless you directly made money from it. This is why the original license that asked for money asked for money if it was used commercially. I've seen ASP applications that cost in the $50,000 range. I didn't see why a company making lots of money off the program couldn't spare $100 to pay for a license.

Am I the only one who thinks the word SCAMP sounds like a disease? It's like: "I got the SCAMP from a burrito at Taco Bell last night".

by simply commenting out the inline assembly, i fixed crash.c so it can no longer crash Linux!

Someone ought to copyright an exploit or patent an exploit in the Windows operating system and make it illegal for them to fix it...
