I've been using Spamdyke for two weeks now and it rocks.

I love the SMTP Auth and extra spam filters. (Spamdyke saved me from moving to postfix yet.)

    From the website:

spamdyke is a filter for monitoring and intercepting SMTP connections between a remote host and a qmail server. Spam is blocked while the remote server (spammer) is still connected; no additional processing or storage is needed.

In addition to all of its anti-spam filters, spamdyke also includes a number of features to enhance qmail.

Best of all, using spamdyke does not require patching or recompiling qmail! Netqmail + Spamdyke and no more patching.

First of all. Nice of you grouping every country in Europe into the same group with the same laws as one country. If you read TFA you link to. It states the countries where you are not allowed to deny Holocaust. Do you know how many countries there are in Europe?

Big deal, you are not allowed to lie about a historical fact, and make up you own history. You may believe what ever you like, just don't claim it as history or facts, unless you can prove it. Lots of countries have laws like that. Because of history, some EU countries have specifik laws to deal with Nazism because we don't want this to happen again.

Since you mention Denmark later on, well you are allowed to be a Nazi in Denmark. We do however have laws against discrimination of others based on sex, religion, skincolour etc. So simplified, you can state that "you are better then everyone else" you just can't have as a goal that others can't do the same. Free speech mixed with manners.

You are also not allowd to have the killing of others be a part of you political program. (Buhu no news there).

The next thing you mention are as far as I know, only France and Germany where you are not allowed Nazi memorabilia.
So these laws might not seem fair, but are an attemt to not glorify Nazi Germany, and nazism. Nothing stops you from moving to another EU country and start you own collection. Denmark, UK and others.

The thing about competition, is called anti-monopoly. I think you got things mixed up. If true, local law, for a limited business. The postal service and telephone market once was like this, not anymore.

The thing about names is also not true. Well you make it sound like US and other countries don't do this aswell. You are not allowed to name you child anything which could be degrading og harmfull for the child/person. So if the name to choose is not on "the big list", someone will have a look and see if it should be added. Can't see the problem.

The last part about guns... well you can collect guns. Get one for hunting if you like. We just don't give them away to everyone and his brother. Join the army or the home guard if you need more fire power.

Please check you facts next time. Europe is not a single country.

If the USA does not want to follow the Geneva Convention, then they (the prisoners) should have the same rights as American citisens. (They are either soldiers or 'normal' criminals make up your mind).

Fysical abuse is only one aspect. Not knowing what you are being accused of and for how long you need to be locked up, is to me atleast very wrong. This is the same elements as in torture.

I hope people don't just forget how the US act, and even these people should not just be "out of sight - out of mind".

Well lets look at the options.

If you don't have anything to eat you have 2 options of getting food by your own power. Grow your own food or earn money which you can buy food from others.

It may come as a surprice to you but to start a business in a poor country you only need a small amount of money. So if you take a loan for $100 and pay if off over say a year. You have impowered people.

What else could an investment in a $100 computer be used for. Well the farmers could get the latest information about how to get the most out of their land. If one community got access to a computer any internet, they can share the knowledge. So $100 could save the poor people from getting riped off by Monsanto and others.

So in conclusion $100 could really improve the quality of life for many. When you don't have money to throw around your mind works on a whole other level.

The reason for not using BitKeeper is because of philosophy mostly within the community (my guess), not because something is wrong with the tool.

What BitMover has done is change the price of their product so to speak. Alot of Open Source / Free Software people didn't like the old price, and don't like to pay the new price anymore. That is why the tool is droped.

While these numbers may be true, war has also changed with each one.

The battlefield has moved from trenches and country side to the city.

In ww1 & ww2 both sides were prepared for war, so civilians and military were not mixed as they are today.

    Another point is this:

As a general rule, on a 'normal' battlefield you need to be 3 to 1 in order to win. (If the enemy has 10 men, you need 30 to win.)

In the city the rate is 10+ to 1. Soldiers know about this great risc, and this is why you shoot first, ask later.

And as we all know civilians live in the city, so it is no surprise that more civilians die in modern combats. They can't escape, and 'non regular' armys use them as cover.

The fact that everyone and his brother in Iraq owns a gun does not make things easier.

I think you are wrong. Google does not have a history of behaving like they own the world.

The word 'gmail' is not a generic word. It clearly has something to do with mail. So that limits the chance others are also using that name.
How many are involved in something to do with 'mail'.

Microsoft often use common words and because of their size, can mussel everyone to give it up.
Sure they add a 'MS' of 'Microsoft' to the official name, but lets face it.

If I say: 'Word', 'Explorer', or 'Outlook'. They are Microsoft names/words to many people. But they really could be lots of things.

So is it MS fault that they are good at marketing their product names you say.

No, but I think there is a huge difference between making a 'new' word a brand name, and using a already common used word as a product name and then try to claim ownership of it.

And that is the end result, even if it should only be pr. industri or what ever the rules say.
