    you mean that some actually believe that anthropogenic climate change is a crock of shit but that climate change does appear to be occuring and some of the may actually believe that a modest temperature increase could be beneficial for man and the planet in general. That's not a moving target at all.

    We've tripled it. If we do so again, warming won't matter -- we'll simply suffocate - we'll be at the level where humans can't get rid of their internally generated CO2 quick enough to not pass out.

    I'm not talking about sticking the screwdriver in the key hole or stealing Mum's car (only a Seppo would say Mom). You do realise that around 70% of cars on the market can be stolen with a flathead screwdriver don't you? And that a lot of secure car alarms can be defeated with a 9v battery.

    This will not work because:

    • Have you ever considered the difficulty of using, say, an Armalite on the bridge of a cargo ship? Last time I checked, snipers did not use moving platforms, or aim at rapidly moving targets . Therefore, range would be greatly reduced.

    I have forgotten the term and cannot seem to locate it on the net either. If we were playing Jeopardy I would say 'What is a beirut Triple'? (Note Beirut may be incorrect)

    I remember reading about the lead to gold but I also remember that the lead produced from gold via a similar method had some strange property re: its isotopes. Can't remember the story completely and currently investigating the spectral foul smell near my septic so haven't time to google - sorry.

    All I know is that their are forces out there that are conscious and have specific abilities. On three occassions now (i am mid 40's) I have seen stuff that can not be explained and the only response a sceptic could possibly make is to either say bullshit or humorously suggest I increase my dose of medication.

    You have to hope that the if the cops respond first and you are naked, severely burnt all over, covered head to toe in blood, and in a near catatonic state next to your crashed, burnt out car that you aren't tasered and then shot multiple times because you don't comply with police instructions to lie your burns face down in the dirt.
    The best cite for this (including lying police statements and witness statements) is a movie called 'The biggest street gang in America'.

    Why do you bother? A lot of the US is so ideologically brainwashed they will diss any sort of system like Australia's as socialist/communist/terrorist (whatever buzzword keeps the two brain cells rubbing together) and will never ever agree that a system like that in AU works quite well.
    The entire world looks at US health care and is horrified at their broken system. They used to laugh at it but realised it was more appropriate to be horrified as those that can support and argue in favour of it are capable of believing anything at all. BTW I have a second hand dialysis machine for sale but it needs to be picked up in Tora Bora. Any takers?

    REgardless of whether you can pay your way if/when this debilitating illness hits you you will still be a burden to someone. You will have money though so you will have people care about you(whoops sorry care for you).
    I do have a debilitating illness. It will be a couple more decades before I become a drooling, incontinent, waste of space, piece of crap and I have planned for it too. I am enjoying my life, not saving money, and I am going to neck myself when I feel it is a pointless exercise trying to continue living a life that becomes a burden to all those around me regardles of if I can afford it or not.
    It's quite possible to amass money and save for a drooly day. You could have millions and still be a worthless sack of shit. It's funny how some people don't get that.

    arrogance I certainly agree with. arrogance != failure. The post you replied to probably could have been misconstrued as an insult. Apologies if you took it that way. The intertubes don't communicate those subtle nuances we use while communicating. For example in person I could say to someone that their wife is lovely while sticking my finger down my throat - that subtlety just doesn't come through on the tubes.
