We know because there is a camera there. Also, picking up a Wii controller and bowling a couple frames does not suggest that the same officer planted drugs or stole money from the alleged (you're welcome Mickey) criminals. The burden of proof is not on the officer to say he DIDN'T do those things. The burden is on the alleged (you're welcome Mickey) criminal to prove that he wasn't dealing the drugs they found (or didn't find - you're welcome Mickey) in the home.
Very good point, sir. Although, I really don't think people are going to buy a device based on the fact that it does or does not interface with iTunes. Apple's decision to allow non "i" equipment to work with their software will only increase the amount of people that use iTunes, not the amount of people that buy and iPhone...IMHO.
This will be a good test of our juctice system (cough) to see if the drug dealers get a lesser sentence because of some completely un-related shenannigans. I'm not saying the officers shouldn't be reprimanded to acting unprofessionally but this should in no way affect a judge's decision as how to punch the criminals.
Yeah but it's still money. They wouldn't have to do anything different other than allow the devices to connect. That's it. Do you think if Steve Jobs was walking down the street and saw a $5 bill laying on the ground he wouldn't pick it up? Of course he would....it's free money!
Why the hell would Apple not want other devices syncing with their software? That could open up a whole new line of devices for which to sell apps and music from their iTunes store to. Don't get me wrong...I'm not a fanboy, but iTunes is a pretty nice model for downloading single tracks or even entire albums, quick and cheap. Apple gets a cut of this sale, right? Not everyone owns an i so why not expand your sales demographic to other devices?
I will have to continue the trend of most posters and say none. If you are wanting just basic connection to load a page or two in a browser, you can do satellite in the places where 3G is no an option, but if you need things like VoIP and gaming, then forget it. Even over 3G the latency is too high for gaming unless you are playing some turn-based RPG. VoIP might be ok as long as you turn up the compression on the codec, but over all I think your best option is to either stay put, or stop frequently to plug in your laptop to a wired network.
1) You start off climbing a steep hill with growing anticipation and excitement. At this point some people would hop off if they could, for fear of heights
2) Things start off with a bang! Immediately there may be a few harsh turns, but hopes are high for a good ride.
3) Getting into the meat of the experience. Lots of ups and downs, some jerky turns and, if you are lucky, a few upside-down loops with corkscrews thrown in for added pleasure.
4) Your head is starting to hurt from the constant pounding against the restraints. You don't really want it to be over, but you know it's for the best because any further participation and you risk permanent damage to your nervous system.
5) It's been a nice ride and hopefully you got out without puking or pissing your pants. You are welcome to stop by the gift shop to collect a momentous photo from step 2.
A new car built by my company leaves somewhere traveling at 60 miles per hour. The rear differential locks up. The car crushes and burns with everyone trapped inside. Now: do we initiate a recall? Take the number of vehicles in the field (A), multiply it by the probable rate of failure (B), then multiply the result by the average out-of-court settlement (C). A times B times C equals X...
If X is less that the cost of a recall, we don't do one.
Rather than cutting them off completely (because how would they get anti-malware apps and updates?), why not just severely limit the bandwidth on an IP that's deemed "malicious"? That way they can still get their machines clean and not kill the speed for the rest of us.
I remember before Win98 and W2K officially released, we'd scramble to the most populated Warez channels on IRC to get the latest build of whatever beta there was at the time and (maybe) install just so we could say "Why would I run a 'released' OS?". Now it's: "I'm not installing 'till they release something STABLE!".
they are still concerned about making sure developers go through the less capable interface for maintenance reasons.
That's true. If they made their software work with 3rd party hardware, we'd have to start calling them Microsoft. ;-)

Sorry grammar nazis, *PUNISH the criminals*.

I think the joke is that South Korea has SOUL...not really referencing the city.
Should have ready my own post....I guess it was supposed to run on Windows 3.1 and 95. Feel free to mod me down for being stupid.
Microsoft had one that never made it.
"Lawyers in Space"....they already did that.
..he doesn't want people to know how to use the laws. They wouldn't need to pay a lawyer if such information was made public, right?

Man, that guy looks like he's doing an anal dental exam on that chick.

Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya...and I do not think that word means what you think it means.

Looks like the magic 8-ball to me.
"Scientists claim to have identified a master gene..."
This is the only "Master Gene" worth speaking of in any venue.
Add a port for a SIM card and with Bluetooth support they might have something even more people would want.
Yes, that "Auto-post-to-slashdot-before-crashing" feature came with build 14329.

What happened to the adventurous?
