    The judge seems to say something similar. He says it's not OK to have them as unpaid interns and then have them do coffee fetching jobs, that implies it would be OK if they were actually doing things that would gain them experience and had educational value.

    Seen a lot of posts on Slashdot of the government eroding freedoms and liberties and tracking citizens. But what's the end purpose? Is this the conspiracy stage to shift the US into a fascist state? Are our politicians and federal workers all traitors with a unified goal to oppress the American people? Is it a misguided effort to increase national security?

    Trouble with that is that the infant wouldn't know to try to use it. So you would have to just pick arbitrary commands for the computer to watch for. The infant might never think them or even if he does, he might not realize the link. Think of it as recording a marco, you need to do it the first time before you can use it.

    Problem is China and India don't have boomers. They are only at the MIRV stage. Though the article does state both have 'no first strike doctrine' for what that's worth.

    The way to battle poverty is to have a successful economy and for that you need stability. Nuclear deterrent makes war more unlikely. Though according to the article MIRVs might actually reduce MAD. No point to make a successful economy if you're just going to be overrun by your neighbor.

    Everyone knows that nuclear winter is the counter to global warming. If there's a nuclear war then we burn more hydrocarbons, maybe release some methane from the oceans. If global warming gets out of control, we nuke a few cities.

    My first experience was with a TI too. Just making simple programs to solve certain types of problems in HS. My tech teacher provided me with a few sheets on programing for the TI, that along with the manual is how I learned. After that in college ended up using MATLAB a bit and took classes for C++ and FORTRAN. Recently learned Python do do user scripts for FEA program.

    The point is not that it is true since 97% agree but that the public doesn't realize 97% agree and thinks the scientific community is split 50/50 on the issue.

    Go the Missile Command route. When we detect them prepping a missile, have our nuclear armed sub on stand-by. Once the missile launches, intercept with our own nuke during the boost phase.

    Not going to work. How would you even get the system to where the laser is aimed, even if the mirrors worked? It's easy to theorize but much harder to implement.

    SC2 actually takes less mirco than SC. Off the top of my head:

    -SCVs now automatically start harvesting at the beginning of the game
    -If you cast a spell with a group only one unit will cast
    -You can group buildings together and produce in them together
    -Groups can be bigger than 12 units
