    You probably don't know the difference as a windows user.

    As someone who has to develop on linux, Mac and windows, switching over to my windows partitions or vm env's is like going back in time a decade or more.

    Well you see, if you broke the rules and read the article, they're defining a new intermediate code format that's kind of like Java byte code (not really, but the intent is somewhat similar).

    This "WebAssembly" is an abstraction over real hardware, that is compiled just in time so it can be executed on the native hardware or converted to JavaScript and interpreted by a VM.

    Personally, I think it's cool but it's definitely reinventing a lot of concepts Java tried, succeeded at (cross platformness) and hilariously failed at (Java Applets).

    Windows 10 is very dated feeling. I've been using it since the Insider Preview came out.

    It's not even close to the level that Android/iOS mobile is at in terms of UI and UX. It's not even to the level of a modern Linux desktop.

    I use gnome 3 at work but use win 10 in a vm for some windows only work components.

    Windoes 10 feels about 10 years out of date.

    However, I hope this means my android phones will start to get better battery life. Half the life of an iOS device would be a huge win.
