I blame the people who might have known about it but didn't comment on this at all during the review stage. If there's some proof showing sites using this certificate are actually releasing malware, though, it's easy enough to have Mozilla reject it again.
Look at it on the bright side: Canonical will be making more money they hopefully "give" back to the community in the form of more development and better support, and MS just keeps doing its business, also gaining some revenue for whatever they're doing.
Both "parties" are making money here, and for some reason that pisses the Linux only/Windows only advocates off.
You see JavaScript is about 10,000 times too slow to do the nitty-gritty video decoding. So they always use a real existing codec to do the heavy lifting.
You answered your own question here; this implementation could just use HTML5's video tag support to do all the decoding work. And in case you didn't know, these videos can be stretched and warped in any way necessary, too.
I hope they're planning something good - and something that will actually be released. 3DRealms had plenty of (wasted) chances to release something other than DNF to at least keep some revenue, after all.
If you're so afraid, release it, but don't open-source it. Though since you have made this already anyway, people are going to make their own malware eventually.
They'll organize a battle to the death in order to determine who's going to accept the peace prize.
Now hopefully MS will finally patch that one problem in Windows, where it's a big bloated pile of shit.
Almost too easy.

My friends are on there.
I dunno man, the article states they invited those guys over two years ago to discuss the problems with PHP, and then went to improve it.
Oh, come on. Slashdot runs on Perl scripts, don't start telling me that's a system language now.

Some group of geeks needs to realize this game. As soon as possible.

I'd personally prefer evince to be ported to other platforms and a browser plugin for that to be created.
It's also very nice for Linux users (for speed), and users of any platform which doesn't support Flash (or only very slowly)
First of all, the main usage of Flash (for me) is video and I don't expect anyone to write h.232 codec using javascript and canvas anytime soon.
Dude, HTML5 video tag.
That's pretty damn foul from Apple. Do they fear competition that much?
All I'm saying is that they had plenty of chances to release something else during all this time DNF wasn't released...
Yo Frankie? No wait, that game fails as a game.
While you do make some good points, I think the Windows gaming market is far from fading.
That's exactly a problem if you're a non-Windows user, though.

saving at any stage
It depends on the flash card you buy. Some can also let you insert cheats.
"... things should be more like Windows where ANYONE can develop any application if they wish to."
So he meant more like Linux.
<start flamewar>
Too bad it'll even forget my history, saved tabs and even what network I was connected to. There's at least some things I'd like remembered, yes?

They couldn't rerelease EarthBound for the Wii because of all the copyrighted material it contains (most notably several samples from The Beatles).
Also Illusion of Time/Gaia.
He obviously won if you suddenly can't reason back anymore.
