    Yeah, and on the way they made one of the slowest imaginable languages. Well, ok, Ruby is worse, but - serious constant overhead for function calls? Are you kidding? If you want OOP and readable, try Ada 2005. Hell, Haskell supports indentation closed blocks - though you need to spare some of the high end features.

    Scheme allows side effects - imperative programming is not a problem. And God knows, Scheme has faster implementations than Lua.

    How about adopting the OS9 approach - current data dir, and current execution dir. Nope - better - context sensitive dirs, HP-UX style - integrated with the package manager.

    Throw in some therapy - most kids need it - otherwise you get situations where the girls are dating guys 10 years older, while their schoolmates are going around weeded out of boredom.

    That's not a keyboard - that's a touch screen with an keyboard application running. It takes screen space. It has no tactile feedback, it can not be positioned in a usable way, like a laptop keyboard. It's no good for serious typing. And with wintel apps - it's either that or the mouse. Emulating a touchpad on a screen would be easy, but only half the equation.

    What do libertarians have to do with this? Do you have any idea what maintaining time zone information and daylight savings, and asorted other crap costs in software development alone.
