We understand voting public do not like and do not trust Hillary Clinton.

This is what we don't understand: "Trump was less distasteful." That is a mindbogglingly ridiculous statement.

  3. It's not just about the warrant. If the neighbor was charged, the police would have to hand over the video to the defense and explain how they got it, even if no warrant was needed. For this data they are required to keep the source secret.

Canada has a long way to go to cache up to Europe, but London only got 24 hour subways service starting literately 2 weeks ago.

Ottawa's O-Train LRT is 15 years old and another line is under construction and Canada's top 5 cities are a lot smaller then the United State's top 5.

  11. It's not just industries that can collapses, but built forms can collapse, too. The suburban build form is very wasteful in land usage and isolating for the people. It may not last much longer, either. They should take advantage of opportunity to change to a better urban design.

  12. Putting stores on the ground floor of office buildings is what they do in cities. Sounds like Palo Alto wants to remain a suburban wasteland.

  13. Mozilla have done a lot of things in the last couple years to make nerds angry. This superficial change is so bad even Mozilla's defenders will be left with nothing to say.

  14. Sounds like they just rewrote the operating system. Necessary to keep it running on newer hardware, but probably just a faction of the code.

  15. It wouldn't be a problem if nothing changed, but as the posting pointed out new features are constantly being added and if those features weren't considered when the system was first designed they set up being kludges. When you're piling kludge on top of kludge for 50 years, it can get really bad. So bad that one day you have to reboot and it doesn't work and no one knows why.

Sometime you just have to refactor. You can still keep any code that still works well (usually because it was refactored more recently).
