  2. It's opportunities dwindle vs a risk of nuclear war or a risk of so much economic chaos Mexico builds the wall to keep Americans out or a risk of the end of American democracy or more probable endless scandal and stagnation.

    Combined with the fact that there is virtually no evidence the Trump has secretly hiding intelligent solutions to these problems.

    People on the left believe there should be more legal immigration, instead of relying on immigrants who have little ability to fight for their rights, like illegal immigrants who basically have no rights and H1B who can be shipped back to pressing for their rights.

    The genetic component of suicide is small compared to the societal component and society changes far faster then genetics.

    I don't think that will work, since there are very few genetic diseases that kill you between 20 and 40 and that effect would be probably overwhelmed by the fact that the rate a genetic disease increases the later you have children.

    I wonder if text is why we haven't detected other advanced alien civilizations. Our extraordinary ability to apply our advanced language skills to a totally different medium and sense, allowing us to develop advanced technology because we can store knowledge outside our brains, achieved without any additional evolution. What are the odds that other intelligent species had the wiring needed listen with their eyes?

    It's not hard for anyone to write quickly write readable text, like I'm doing now. For me to make a comment like this in video it would either generate a stammering barely understandable video, or require fifteen minutes of planning, rehearsal and editing to make it a reasonable 30 second video, that is still less convent then the 10 seconds you look to read this.

    I have a web app. The first frequently asked question I get from uses, is do I have an app in the app store. I'm not sure why.

    There are many advantages to use a web app, you can serve all platforms, past, present and future with one program, you can push updates immediately, without waiting for anyone's approval.

    There are disadvantages, like they don't work without internet access, but there are many cases where internet access is needed anyway.

    Another disadvantages is that uses can block ads on web apps, not generally not regular apps, which is probably be biggest reason many companies push apps, but that also doesn't apply here.

    FDR brought government spending as a percentage of GDP from 10% to 20%. Then the war brought it to 50%. You don't get much more meddling then that.

    We can be saved by a war on greenhouse gas emissions.

    Not enough. Despite being insanely wasteful, it was hugely successful at solving economic problems. Imagine what a similar effort directed to helping people instead of killing people would do.

    The UN Human Development Index is a measure of success. There can be others. What would yours be?
