How about this: The ring had it's own agenda and went where it wanted. Even if they had tried to give it to someone else the ring wouldn't have stayed if it didn't want to. I personally believe it could, in a small way, see into the future so it's possible that it believed that Frodo was it's best way of getting to Sauron, which may have actually been true. This leads me to believe that if someone other than Frodo had taken responsibility for the ring Sauron still might not have gotten his hands on it. It's been said already that if left to Frodo the ring would not have been destroyed. Gollum was the key.
Do you realize that after reading this article and the posts that follow anyone with half a wit might be able to execute such an attack? Collectively we've either explained how to do it or linked to places that have the information.
If you click on "About Us" on the right side of their page you can read all about how they "have a commitment to be the center of excellence for Linux embedded systems", too. What we should do as a community is make up new "uses" for Linux and then see if LinuxOne claims to be the best at those, too. Like 'teach your dog to talk with Linux' kinda stuff.
If you think about it most User Friendly cartoons are not about making fun of people who call tech support. That's what makes User Friendly so great, the fact that Illiad covers a very wide range of geek-culture topics.
...and you may or may not agree, but it really is a good environment for geeks. Heck, they even let me use Linux even though it's not totally compatible with their NetWare environment. All in all it really is a geeky place.
I would think that Linux vs. NT usage statistics wouls speak louder than any kind of a benchmark test anyone could run. More people use Linux servers = Linux is better, right?
In a lot of ways I don't want the "masses" using Linux - I think it just cheapens it. Besides, I already have enough conversations with morons in one day, why would Caldera want to add more to that pool? Ninja skills is right.
The type of person their catering to is the guy that has a surface knowledge of computers and keeps reading in his Ziff-Davis magazines that Linux is the wave of the future. Problem is, this guy is also the same guy that goes out and buys all the latest hardware the minute it's released; what happens when he gets his new Voodoo Banshee home and realizes (without reading the fine print) that X isn't going to work with his new toy without some major tweaking. Let's see how easy it is to install then.

Is the English language itself. Just ask anyone trying to learn it. And yes it is amusing sometimes
You can't borrow it, but you can come over and listen. Seriously, it was handed down from my great-grandmother

Noone is allowed to post after me!
Anyone notice how much AOL's logo looks like the infamous eye in the pyramid? Think about it.
