What I would like to know, is are they going to provide their users with 10 Gigabit hardware (and limit to 2 Gbps), or are they going to run two 1 Gbps fibers and do load sharing, or are they going to give them an OC-48 (2.48 Gbps), because there is no current technology that can do just 2Gbps.
The majority of all spam comes from home computers infected with a worm that makes it part of a botnet. The fact that some mail servers can slow down the sending of mail is not the solution. If ISPs were to block all SMTP connections from their DSL/cable customers, that would put a huge dent in the amount of spam. Most people get their email through some sort of webmail based system so there is really no need for people to be sending legitimate emails via SMTP. And for the ones that like to have their Thunderbird or Outlook express send their email, there is probably a way that you can make the client get the email through the web system the same as the way Outlook can be retrieved over SSL. Block users from sending SMTP and you block most of the spam on the Internet.
If you read Bill Gates' original prediction, he said that spam would be killed through the electronic equivalent of a stamp, also known as "payment at risk". This means that if an email gets marked as spam, then the sender will be billed for a cost whenever they send a spam email. He didn't say that users would not have to deal with spam, he said that spam would simply not exist altogether. This most certainly did not happen, so he was completely wrong in his prediction.
So what do you do about your WiFi enabled phone, or Xbox or PS3 or any device that doesn't have a CDROM drive or text editor to read and copy that file?
don't you start to lose energy if you leave the bottles in there, because now the fridge has to cool those thawed bottles as well now?
As he said, once they thaw you put them back outside to freeze again. But even if you didn't, it would actually still be ok to leave them in since a refrigerator is more efficient with more things inside than with less. This is because there is less air that needs to be cooled when the door is opened and all the cold air escapes.
As long as the free whores are written into a contract that we both agree to, then yes I'll buy your house. Don't complain when the company adheres to the legal agreement that you agreed to (and supposedly read) when you signed up for the service.
None of the other utilities you mentioned promise unlimited access anyway.
I don't think he was talking about being able to get as much water as you want for the same price, but the amount of water that is available at any one time. If every single household in a neighborhood turned on all their water faucets at the same time, there would not be enough water for them all. That is oversubscription.
Even though you said you did, apparently you did not read their terms of service...
3.1 Bandwidth: As an ISP, Speakeasy's financial liability is partially determined by the amount of bandwidth customers utilize. Speakeasy can normally balance that cost and utilization while continuing to provide great service to all customers. Customers will not be charged for the bandwidth consumed, nor does Speakeasy have specific limits or caps on that bandwidth. However, if Customer utilizes any of Customer's Speakeasy services in a manner that consumes excessive bandwidth or otherwise negatively affects Speakeasy's core equipment, overall network performance, or other users' services, Speakeasy may require that Customer cease or alter these activities.
They were perfectly legal in asking you to stop your high usage because you agreed to that TOS.
Not if that armor is available to everyone. Then it is meaningless because the game rebalances.
It's available to everyone willing to pay additional money for the armor. If I don't want to pay more money than the monthly subscription, then I am not able to get the better gear, and am at a disadvantage.
First off, there isn't a big sign above your head saying "Player formerly from Realm X" so users don't know that you were transferred over.
Second, there are so many people on a realm that they would have no idea if you were new, or just someone that they had never seen before.
Third, there are not limited number of "spots" in guilds. You can have as many people in as you want, as evident by the people spamming advertisements in the trade channels trying to recruit people into their guild. Even if there are some "elite" guilds that only allow certain people in, a new person on a realm doesn't have any better chance of getting into the guild than someone who has been there a while.
Fourth, people WANT to have top level, uber-geared people in their guild because that means that they have more powerful people to help them complete the Raid instances or PVP battlegrounds/arenas that their guild participates in.
Find a lot of other galaxies that are a lot like the Milky Way, then look at the ones that are 10by away.
The problem with that is that the farther away you're looking, the less you can see. You'll see a lot more detail at 100,000 light years than you will at 10 billion light years away, unless you can get a telescope that is 100,000 times more powerful.
My favorite FPS games were the Operation Flashpoint games. They were not the typical WWII military type games, in fact they were completely fictional stories. They had an original story line, and characters you played. It was the most realistic FPS game I've ever played. You had to get to the target, complete the mission, and get out, and figure it out all by yourself. And unlike most FPS games where you can get shot 5 times, bandage, and be all better, you get shot once and you died. Or you would be shot in the leg and have to crawl everywhere to complete the mission, so you really had to take time and plan your tactics for the mission. When you run, you got tired and had to stop to catch your breath. You could drive Jeeps, tanks, fly helicopters and planes. A very cool game that I would recommend for anyone who likes a challenge in an FPS.
The FBI has also indicted him on charges of creating the Agobot malware, which was used in a distributed denial of service attack in 2003, so yea, he's a repeat offender.
Way to waste the tax payers money, not that it matters at this point.
Are you serious? So then they should not waste taxpayer's money arresting a bank robber? They've already gotten away with the money, so what's the point?
It wouldn't be that big a surprise to me if the Chinese, upon discovering the proxy and its purpose, start working to improve the Internet experience it is given.
Do you really think the Chinese government cares what the rest of the world thinks about it's policies on Internet filtering? I think it's pretty widely known that China is oppressive to it's residents' Internet browsing. Instead of fixing it, which they could do by just turning off the firewall, wouldn't an easier solution be to just block access to the proxies from non-China IP addresses?

His description never said anything about passenger capacity.
Also, by his definition, some motorcycles would be considered cars (drive shaft, with 2 wheels).
It might mean that when you plug it in to charge, it disrupts the game (when the little CHARGING battery icon shows up). Either way, whether you can charge it or not, it means that you have to complete it in one shot. You had better have a good memory or take notes so that when you do leave it and come back you can quickly get back to the spot that you left off at. Seems like a trick to make it more difficult to win.
and about 1,000 other possible explanations that are all much more reasonable than intergalactic alien visitors traveling almost incomprehensibility vast intergalactic distances only to buzz our aircrafts and probe our hillbillies.
Just because the distance is incomprehensible to us, doesn't mean that it is to other alien races. To an ant in Africa, people flying 10,000 miles to study them would be incomprehensible (and yes, I know that ants have no idea what distance is, but it's an example).
If they are not in the data path, then they cannot stop the transmission. If they have to wait for the copy of the entire image before they can get the hash, then by that time the image has already been transmitted and could not be stopped. In order to stop the file, and replace the file with a warning image, they would need to store it locally, get the hash, and then forward it if it didn't match the hash database.

How do work most companies then but by crowdfounding?
Most companies grow by getting investors, which are usually investment firms. Crowdfunding is getting a lot of people to pay in small amounts.

I used to be a blacksmith too, but then I switched to jewelcrafting.
How do you return a download?
With an upload of course!
How would the cop know it was a judge driving before pulling him over?
Because they can look up the license plate to see who the registered owner is.
