I agree this is most disturbing - loosing firewire. What can the community do to save it, propagate firewire, compel manu's to include the hard port on devices?
I wonder if the exceptions agencies allow on clock synchronization afford an opportunity for nefarious intrusion into the system? "This doesn't look right, but we did just add a leap second.."
More than legit - a public service. Imagine sponsoring debate, in the USA? This is more about the Sandusky folks wanting to stifle dissent before it starts roaring.
Let Sandusky take Chicago-2016.com, Chicagotwentysixteen.com, Chicago2016.info, or whatever he can find that is available.

Point was more to RIF - the most expendable member of the IT team is the manager. If the manager relies on staff for information, and you trim the staff, how can the manager p/u the slack? In survival mode you really only need doers. Keep the thing alive and execute on the best plan already in the stack.
Russia launched this hunk two years ago and already self-destructed it? And that's excusable somehow?
Does the DoD do the same? Who's going to clean that shit up? First time one of Sir Richard's space deckers looses passengers and crew - what's he going to do - sue somebody?
Good wired article on Tim here; http://blog.wired.com/gadgets/2009/01/meet-tim-cook-h.html
"Half man, half bear, half pig..." "Dude, that's impossible!"
How many homes will catch one of these falling from the sky before they're banned in metro's?

You'll need the new version of iTunes also - typically pushed by Apple updater evening of the release announcement...

The unlimited safari bookshelf is an indispensable IT reference. In this case one key would be a great source of curricula for the instructor.
