I can't believe this was modded insightful for what amounts to a catastrophic failure to recognize what encryption and security is used for.
No wonder you posted AC. I suppose you don't use wireless encryption for a laptop. If so, may i have your address?;)
So...how much market share does OSX have to get before you people stop screaming MS Anti-trust? Is there a definitive percentage point?
Frankly this is a tired statement.
when the president elect is planning $850-billion in infrastructure updates including 'green' tech, who the hell is going to compete when the govt is giving away free (albeit more and more worthless) money?
I work at Social Security, we have Integrity Reports that show who we are pulling up, if its a famous person that may be flagged we have to show we have a valid Govt Reason for looking up the record. if I look up someone with the same last name as I have it flags, so I preemptively notify my supervisor that I don't know nor am I related to the person. If we do too many searches it raises flags and we may be audited.
If its completely possible for a fairly low tech govt agency that still lags a lot in automation (though we are getting better every day), it should be more than easy enough for a "cutting edge" corporation like Verizon.
I bought my girlfriend a EEEpc preloaded with Linux and after 3 months she decided she wanted XP instead because XP would allow her to install other software (something the default Linux desktop doesn't allow without futzing with it, and lets face it, futzing with any version of Linux is beyond most end users).
Now I'm going to buy her a 10" preloaded with XP and a hard drive, and take her smaller one and test running a server on it with an external drive plugged in (Should save a ton of power). Moral of the story: Shouldn't have shaved $50 off the price initially for Linux over XP.
Any proper discussion about IT to 4th graders must include a visual comparison of the Windows Flag and Linux's Tux so they can visually recognize which one is better and more fun.

As far as I know, she's a Pentecostal, and they are by and large pretty gung-ho about the Apocalypse.
How far do you know? Everything i see says she is non-denominational christian.
