Yes 100% of nothing is still nothing and if that is what I wanted to say I would have said it.
But if you look up 3 posts from your response you will see that I was talking about the reference to "0 out of 0" being "100%". To express "0 out of 0" as a percentage:
If that's what it takes to force the government to act in the best interests of the people as opposed to big business then I say we have an election every year.
I was responding to a comment on "levels of sales" which is what makes revenue. Nobody mentioned profit?
That said, Apple still has some pretty sweet margins. Their handset margins are almost double that of the sector average, so even a halving their profits wouldn't take them back too far.
I know what you were responding to. My point was to both of you that revenue is a poor indicator of the success of a company. ROR is a much better measurement.
Shhhhh. Don't tell the business users. They never want to pay for system improvements because they don't "see" the effects. We used to slide in all sorts of system improvements they never would have paid for by saying that it was a "SOX requirement".
I would be curious to see a comparison of the percentage of population within 20 miles of a city between the US and Canada.
I couldn't find that particular stat but according to Wikipedia 80% of the population lives within 150km (93 mi) of the U.S. border. NationalGeographic.com estimates it as 75% within 161km (100mi).
I once had a meeting with a software partner from a Canadian telecomms company when I worked in that industry who said: "Most of our country is below freezing for half the year. We're good at technologies that mean we don't have to go outside."
Your friend was either exaggerating or was misinformed.
Most major cities in Canada, and hence most people, only get about 4 or 5 months of below zero temperatures and cites like Vancouver may only get a few days. You have to go north of the Arctic circle before you get cities that have six months below freezing. Even Whitehorse has average temperatures above 0 for 7 months of the year.
That's not to say that when it does get cold it isn't $#^%$# miserable but it doesn't last half the year.
The reason we're good at communication technologies is not because it's too cold, it's because we have 35 million people in a country bigger than the U.S.
Just because a lawyer represents someone in court does not mean they agree with their client or even like them. They may like them but it's not required. IT'S JUST A JOB.

Mr. Reeves is a sequel whore committed to leaching money off of success or even moderate success
Keanu Reeves has been in 49 movies in his career so far and the only sequels I see that he's been in are Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey and the Matrix sequels. I think that hardly qualifies him as a "sequel whore".
If you want to talk sequel whores there are others that are worse such as Eddie Murphy (Beverly Hills Cop 1-3. Dr. Doolitle 1&2, The Nutty Professor 1&2, 48 Hours 1&2), Mel Gibson (Lethal Weapon 1-4, Mad Max 1-3), Sylvester Stallone (Rocky 1-6, Rambo 1-4) the main cast of Harry Potter and most of the cast of the Police Academy movies (#8 is in development, even Guttenberg stopped after 4).
And the whole business with Chloe bores me to tears. Kill her off already.
Please, please, please. Make it a slow, painful decompression accident or maybe an alien dissection. But only if she takes Scott with her. The actor is good but the character is as bland and two-dimensional as Chloe.
I read an article that reported on a study as to why someone talking on a cell phone was more annoying than two people carrying on a conversation.
They concluded that when two people are talking your brain can tune out the sound like you would background noise. When someone is talking on a cell phone you only hear half the conversation. This alternating voice and silence is not as easy for your brain to tune out.
And, as someone else already pointed out, people have a tendency to talk louder when they are on their cell phones making it even harder to tune out.
Since the educational system has failed you I'll try to explain.
If you divide 10 apples by 2 people each person gets 5 apples. Now try to divide 10 apples by 0 people. There is no answer that makes sense.
Another way it look at it is, (10 * 5) / 5 = 10. In general, (10 * x) / x = 10 except when x = 0.
If you still think it doesn't make sense then read the first section of this article.
If you still don't get it, you never will and I weep for the future.
Expect a fork of Qt as Nokia slowly drains resources away from it.
I would say something clever but you're either trolling or too stupid to get it anyway.
How much does the Library of Congress weigh in pounds..?
Not sure about pounds but it's about 6.5 Oprahs.

0 / 0 * 100 = undefined
Because you can not divide by zero.
Who says?
Ah, basic mathematics.
Forget about the desktop. Android apps are written in Java.
Technically you can't divide by zero so the value is undefined.
So that's why I'm always getting in trouble near public schools.

I agree. To me Greer seems to be the most real character on the show.

How about a cowboy version : Use the Horse Luke.
How about a computer version - Use the Source Luke.
Or a Scandinavian version - Use the Norse Luke.
