I can't buy alcohol if they see her in line with me at the store.
Wait, what? Liquor stores around me never had a problem selling to my mom when I was in line with her and actually 14. Mind you, I was not allowed to help her carry the stuff since I was underage, but being in line was just fine and dandy.
So maybe the way to fix this is to set up some sort of rule, maybe like we have with regards to dumping? Maybe something like nobody shall sell below price plus 3%?
It's certainly not unheard of. Gas stations are disallowed by law to sell gas for less than they bought it for. At least in Maryland that is.
What I cannot wrap my head around are the instances where radicals want people in other countries, with different laws, to obey a radical Islamic law. WTF?
It always amuses me to hear prudes say that swearing somehow limits ones vocabulary. It's as if the fact that people who _don't_ swear have _less_ words in their vocabulary has been somehow lost on them.:)
All this puts Wikipedia in the confusing position of not allowing a page for an undefined word whose meaning is defined via the Wikipedia page for that word
When you put it that way, I fail to see what's so confusing about that. The No Original Research policy and/or [Citation Required] would seem to apply here. Of course, it won't be original research and un-cited for much longer I suspect (if it hasn't already passed that mark).
Sure, to you and I it doesn't make sense. But to these companies, maybe it does. However, reading the rest of AC's post, it sounds like the government / insurance also thinks it doesn't make sense.
When they claim their losses from theft, they claim the second loss (the one that's physically quantifiable).
Not defending her as I know zip about her, but care to elaborate on that? For all i know your little snippet could simply be referring to "the 'fire! in a theater' exceptions we already know about", though I can certainly envision it referring to more.
Aren't there some theories that space is curved such that the light from our little corner of the universe from 4.5 billion years ago very well could loop back around and we could see ourselves?
I prefer "lettuce is murder". Don't remember where I heard that though.
Facebook I'll agree, but if you're a telecommuter and Comcast is the only player in town?

They're not.
Oh rly??
Note GP never said the radicals were members of the government.
It's a perfectly cromulent word.
And lets not forget that Mythbusters proved that swearing increases tolerance to pain.

Why is it so fucking wrong to want to avoid seeing the word fuck, as long as they aren't fucking forcing others to avoid fuck too?
Luckily, it's math, and there's not much political in that subject.
You must be new here :P
Curious, why didn't you switch back to 2.x? It was obviously good enough before 3.
It started happening a while ago. Coulda sworn there was at least one other instance, but that was the only one I could find.

Reminds me of the time a cop pulled me over because of an "illegal exhaust" on my completely-unmodified-from-when-I-bought-it-from-CarMax vehicle.
I'm just lucky he let me off with a warning.
And some people wonder why others have no respect for the law...
Um, math fail? 60,000 is not 98% of 22,000,000. It's not even 2%. It's 0.2%.
Personally, I find it funny that they say they are "swamped" with submissions, but still require more before a decision can be reached.
Personally, I'm kinda curious. Is it just goatse, or a goatse-like xkcd clone, or what?
I thought they were all a bunch of yahoos ;)

I think you're confusing "2 sides unhappy about 1 choice" with "1 side unhappy about 2 choices".

PARMGPA? You obviously have no clue how to properly create an acronym for an act.
First, you gotta come up with what you want the acronym to be. For the act in question, PETLOVE would seem to be a good one.
Next, you gotta come up with words that reduce to that acronym.
Protecting
Everyones
Timely
Lust
Of
Vertebrate
(rear)Ends
Apologies to those with invertebrate pets, I didn't want to spend any more time on this.

Why people sign up with families, I'll never understand.
Because some people want to ensure a future for their children? Is that really that hard to understand?
I'll grant you though that the need to do so may or may not exist today.
Yeah, because interfering in how I want to live my life* definitely is a-ok.
