No, their past games have shipped with Linux binaries, or had binaries available on the internet at release time. Even Quake 4 had a Linux client on release. They've never pushed if off like this. What you might be thinking of is the GPL source code releases.
Well to be fair Reznor started out working on the sounds for Doom3 (which can be heard in the "leaked" E3 Doom3 alpha). He dropped out of the project because it was just taking too long.
Unfortunately they seem to be backing off from Linux support. One of their coders said he'd like to do a port, but it would have to be on his own time... Hopefully we'll see it happen, and it won't turn out like the promised UT3 Linux version that Epic abandoned.
Getting all the libertarians to move out of the country would be the best thing to happen in America since the fall of the robber barons. I'm all for it! Just don't come asking for aid and the use of our military when things start to get tough.
Hey look, we made it possible for the already wealthy to have an unfair advantage over those without the money for supercomputers and millisecond trading!
FFS this site is getting pathetic with the whining about version numbers. Does it really matter that damned much if it's 2.26.41, or 3.1? Does it make any difference if it's called Firefox 3.8 or 6.0? I tell you, I wish I could get back to a place in my life where my biggest issue was worrying about what the version number on open source projects was.
Somehow I doubt you've used Windows much at all lately, considering there is no real work to keep it running. MS Security Essentials takes care of AV these days, and you don't even have to manually update it. There are reasons to avoid Windows, but these days stability isn't one of them...
Been there, done that with Wine. When I want to play games, I just want to play them, not bug test and troubleshoot them. So for any sane person, that just wants to make the most out of their hardware, and play any current game of their choosing, then Win7 is the way to go. For me personally, it's what I prefer. I'd rather reboot the machine once in awhile, as opposed to spending more time trying to make the game work, than playing it.
I'm done caring about the "year of the desktop debate". I use Windows 7 for gaming and I use Linux for everything else. If that puts me in a 1% camp, then so be it.

No, Rage HD is available for IOS, and it's not the same game at all. Rage isn't going to be a gallery shooter like the phone game was.

You do realize that they're not the same game at all, and that the phone version was made just for phones, right?
It's sad watching people argue over which advertising conglomerate they want to give all their personal information to.
Bitcoin will be the perfect currency for the libertarian paradise out in the ocean.
Go Galt, no one is stopping you.
The tax rate is at the lowest rate it's been in 50 years. Try again!
Go Galt, i assure you no one will miss you.

At least until too many of them commit suicide and have to be replaced by robots, right?
Congrats! You have beaten The Libs, and have won the Douchebag of the Day award!
by outsourcing all your labor to the 3rd world, and not having to pay people a living wage in a western country.
3 cheers for the good old days of browser monopolies!

GTFO of my Slashdot.
I tested out Gnome 3 on Arch for about a week before I decided it was time to abandon it. I also ended up at Xfce. It gets the job done.
And of course by "scientists", they mean a group of guys with a boat and sonar equipment.
This just went from the game I was most looking forward to, to now it being on my Do Not Buy list....
Speaking of pathetic idiots... Wow...
