I'm not about to say that everyone who plays violent video games is going to shoot up their school. My shelf has copies of Unreal Tournament, Halo 2, Crysis, Mass Effect, Timeshift, Prey, and several others that most people would consider violent. I'd never, ever shoot up a school; even handling a gun gets me darn close to a panic attack.
The flip side to this is that every publicized school shooting was perpetrated by students who were playing violent video games. In essence, not every gamer is a school shooter, but so far every school shooter was a gamer. Is that enough to take it to congress? I don't think so. Again, Halo has sold how many millions of copies? There were plenty of other factors that went into the psychology of the school shooters, but the people in congress have looked at the lowest common denominator between these people, and that's the violent games. Should they be banned for that? of course not! but I do think that it is a point worth exploring and perhaps finding a means of strengthening the disconnect between games and reality; for some people that can get blurry.

X-Fi Expresscard
Zen Vision:M
These two products alone are wonderful. The former is one of a few Expresscard audio interfaces available, and it sounds awesome. The latter is what the iPod should be - natively supports MPEG 1/2/4, DivX, XviD, virtually every audio format except APE, FLAC, and M4P (but does do M4A).
Their customer service is utter crap, as we can gather from the daniel_k fiasco, and even the $30-$50 "bench fee" for items reqiring service under warranty. However, I will say that they do have some solid products and have a solid lineup of MP3 players that are quite competitive to the iPod.
They say that they want it to do games and 3D animation in a mobile web browser. Call me nuts, but Quake4iPhone takes alot of skill and patience to control reliably...and now they want to try to get Unreal Tournament 5 in that environment? heh. Almost as much fun as doing...basically anything in Maya or 3DS Max from a phone. "desirable" is not quite the first adjective that comes to mind.
-can store onto both the internal 250GByte hard drive and direct to DVD (also
MiniDV if youre interested)
-connects to your computer via firewire so you can capture whatever you want.
You can also pull content from the hard drive directly to your computer as it
saves to either MPEG-2 or DV-AVI.
-is fairly expensive at $1,299
It does not:
-support HD
-tune programs natively; I/O is done through RCA or Component inputs
I dunno if youre going to find anything much closer.
Both the French and the Belgians consider the term "French fries" to be grossly unfair: the Belgians feel they deserve the credit, and the French feel they don't deserve the blame.
Fine. We'll have Belgian Fries and French Waffles. Is that better?
...and that he doesn't fall in love, because if his heart skips a beat, he's going to have some very unhappy shareholders. Oh, and I hope that he's got the 3G in his iPhone off, because if the battery dies...
Seriously, I think that every politician should have to be able to get a population of at least 200,000 in SimCity 2000 before being able to take a public office. How though, do we get them to approve that? You know that everyone in Albany and Crookhaven would lose their seats.
When I heard about it, I immediately thought about our founding father's intolerance of the tax on tea. Let's take 100,000 gallons of Pepsi and throw it in Boston Harbor and dress like Congressmen!
Additionally, I would buy this "trying to curb obesity" crap if they made it more direct. Tax Coca Cola, but use it to subsidize natural fruit juices. Tax potato chips, but use it to reduce the cost of vegetables. No, this is utterly ridiculous and just means that they've run out of other stuff to tax.
No, I've gotten busted a few times by my friends' mom. They're in a constant state of quantum communication with all kids and moms.

Libya hasn't been in the news recently, so maybe he has...
And with what it costs for picture messages these days, I'm wagering that Verizon/AT&T/Sprint/T-Mobile won't be complaining all that much.
Those of you who actually had sex in highschool would understand my view point.
You must be new here.
an anti-piracy firm called Nexicon
I hope the ISP's don't take the Purple Pill.
But can it run Vista?

Apparently some of the sharp minds behind MediaSentry got transferred to the Marketing department, and some others to accounting.
Hey, homeland security, are you listening? Fix this.
Say that on your cell phone along with "bomb white house" or something to that effect. They'll be listening then!
Unfortunately a device like this is too desirable to be manufactured, but heres something close:

Be that software, video or music -- why should I be prevented from sharing it with world ?
Support the Australian Post Office and mail everyone CDs.
No matter the efficiency advantages of doing otherwise, every penalty applied to a human should be applied by a human.
Excuse me while I forward this to the RIAA/MPAA...using a falsified return address of course.

I've used Ubuntu as my main desktop for years now, but I still hop on my wife's Vista Laptop to do video chats over MSN Messenger.
Using your wife's laptop to do video chats? come *on* dude, you're ASKING to get caught!

If limewire could sync up an iPod, most of my friends would be happy to never use iTunes.
maybe Bill gates would like a second chance without all the MS baggage to try out his visions.
...he needs new glasses first.
Microsoft makes a program called SteadyState that does this; a company called Faronics makes an app called DeepFreeze as well.
...and how much does it cost to ship it?

I take 'em to the rifle range... not much can be recovered after a bunch of 30 caliber holes appear in it...
You'd be surprised at the lengths to which the RIAA will go to gather evidence.
Seriously dude, i think you're spot on about this. If I still had mod points i'd mod you up.
