The only thing you can be sure of is there will be a communal request to greatly increase funding to study this 'crisis' by the good people of the USGS. (an any other parasitic branch of government that can take advantage of the situation)

The 1st thing that comes to mind is the possibility we could construct things out of organic material now. Instead of cutting down a tree to build a house we could organize tree DNA to deliver a real tree house. Patent pending.

Revenue to the US Treasury increased under Reagan, unfortunately the Congress (Tim O'Neil & Co.) increased spending even more. Quacks like Krugman spend their entire lives trying to prove Reagan was a failure, it's pretty sad really. Sure, Reagan raised taxes here and lowered them there. The bottom line is if punish those who grow the economy to the point where they stop don't act surprised when that's what happens.
