Wake me up when it costs the same as a newspaper or print book.
Look at how people read newspapers. They have coffee, read the paper, and then drop it for the next guy.
This has been learned from many movies, and applies to real life.
Kid throws a temper tantrum - you cannot give in as that would be negotiating with terrorists.
A LOT of threats are idle. Those that aren't almost always pose more severe consequences for the person doing the threatening.
TBH they have just given you a lot of leverage as whoever is doing the threatening must answer to someone. Perhaps it would be prudent to get the contact information of that person and have a little conversation.
This is a good product for an average person. An average person is NOT going to be using asterisk in their home. It likely has the option to block anonymous calls, and if not it should in a future version.
It's basically just a whitelist of who can call.
It should also have an option to whitelist numbers in advance. Numbers not yet listed should be able to be screened at a later date rather than making the screening immediate.
Maybe not a perfect product but a step in the right direction.
Yes it is indeed a fortunate turn of events in that this is clearly a frivolous lawsuit.
However on the other hand this is also going to consume resources of Beckerman and his firm. This may detract from their other lawsuits between Beckermans clients and the RIAA.
Perhaps part of the RIAA reason behind this lawsuit is not to discredit Beckerman, but to force him to spend time on things that are irrelevant in the grander scheme of things.

Not necessarily. For instance when flying from Canada you go through US customs before boarding the plane.
