If an omnidirectional multi-fire shootem-up is your bag I do hope you own the wonder that is Bangai-O for the Dreamcast. Treasure are keeping the insane shooter alive almost single-handedly these days.
If its PC-based scrolly shooting you need, get after Star Monkey from Small Rockets. Fancy 3d lighting effects from your graphics card, but its still a vertical scroller.
The QSound track on 'Love So True' is pretty darned good, and 'Unfinished Sympathy' is probably my favourite Massive Attack track. If I wasn't at work I'd drag them out and play them now, actually.
'Fuck you idiots' or no 'Fuck you idiots', you might be correct that McClean's intentions are irrelevant but you still haven't explained away the fact that this song is (at least initially) about someone who died in a plane crash.
OK, other than you liking some of the songs on the list, and that you believe that they are overestimating how sensitive people are about this, I agree, I appear to have missed your point. What is it, exactly?
Only from this side of the pond we are being given the impression by our news media that this is a very serious incident that has shocked and affected quite a large number of Americans. Certainly, even the 500 estimated Britons killed in the attack makes it our largest loss of life in a single terrorist act and our broadcasters have been quite sensitive about this; even the traditional Last Night Of The Proms was changed to a playlist that reflected the mood of the country.
Of course you can change the station if you didn't appreciate it playing songs that involve subjects that are delicate at this time. If you are a radio station and you suspect a significant number of your listeners will do just that however, then its really a rather bad idea to do so, don't you think? This station is, deep down, just doing what it can to avoid driving its listeners away. They are a business, so they are bound to do so.
Fundamentally, its if the government decide that I've got to let them have my Massive Attack collection, rather when radio stations don't want to play them that I'll worry about censorship.
Err, remind me. What does 'Its A Sin' have to do with this? By all means point out that their obscure album track about the 1986 fatal underground fire 'Kings Cross', with the line 'Dead and wounded on either side, you know its only a matter of time' is a little touchy at this time, but I fail to recollect anything about 'Its a Sin' right now.
Sorry, I'm feeling thick this morning. Since triager is a fairly reasonable made-up word to describe someone who performs triage, you must be referring to something there I missed. Can you fill me in?
Thanks for the tip. I've not yet embarked on the huge download for my puny modem, and id have banned covermounting of the test, so I may not even get it, but did you notice if ZoneAlarm kept a record of the process name so you can verify it later? I'd really rather not turn it off.

As I understand it, this was because the safety plans very sensibly went for several small emergency stairs, rather than one large one. Part of the problem was that for people on higher floors at least two corners of the buildings must have been destroyed in the crash, so at least some of these staircases may have been blocked. I doubt very much that the building would have failed to conform to safety standards.

I believe that the point of their recovery was that there was no data loss, and that their other worldwide sites could still access this information. Even though reports are that the majority of their staff are thankfully ok, any disaster recovery on this scale isn't going to rely on them wanting to continue work right now. One unfortunate irony here is that the main UK office that would have been taking over some of the work is based in Canary Wharf, which was subsequently also evacuated.

I was very much impressed with the way the buildings withstood that kind of impact long enough for some people to escape. The loss of life if they had gone immediately, or had toppled sideways just doesn't bear thinking about.
Absolutely, every good console should have one. Of course, you forgot to mention the Dreamcast maracas or the funky fishing rod (for bonus points try using the fishing rod for driving games - it turns them in to Daley Thompson-style endurance fests!)
Anyone having the mythical Konix Dev Kit wins this competition however.
"Err, remember the Virutal Boy" Its true, this was a rare aberration - just about Nintendo's only big false move. Gunpei Yokoi didn't deserve the shunning he got as his creator; surely the success of Game 'n' Watch and then the Gameboy (official most popular console of all time) outweighed this one failure.
"And let's not forget how bad the Nintendo64 is doing, compared to the PSX and Dreamcast." The 64 sold quite a few more machines than the Dreamcast will ever manage, and while sales didn't quite reach PSX levels I'd rather have the console that gave us Mario64, Goldeneye and Zelda: Ocarina Of Time than any other.
And finally,
"Can the GameCube play progressive-scan DVDs?" Yes, if you buy the $300 Panasonic DVD version. Can the X-Box? No, according to latest reports, they've taken the progressive support for DVD off. In any case, the X-Box DVD support is an addon that brings the price of the console + adaptor to that (a) more than the Panasonic, and (b) about that of the price of a normal Cube plus a cheap DVD player.
oops - there is no official statement. I've just checked my sources, and as others have said Camp David is merely the accepted media answer; I doubt we will ever know for certain.
The current official statement appears to be that the crash near Pennsylvania was aiming for Camp David, although I have also read speculation that a target was the Sears Tower. Fortunately, it would appear from the latest updates that there was enough time between the second WTC crash and messages from passengers that they were informed of the real reason for their hijacking, and the plane was deliberately downed before reaching the intended target.
I don't care if the entire email is one big remove message, if its unsolicited advertising then I'll laugh at their corpses. I know you were kidding, but some idiots really believe that they can eat my bandwidth just as long as they claim to have an option that says 'yes, I do read your spam. Now don't send that particular one again'.
Athlons ship clock-locked, so they tell the motherboard what multiplier to use. Athlon motherboards don't come with jumpers, its all set in the BIOS now.
I'm probably way off, but it looks like a good old fashioned 9-pin D-plug. If thats the case, then the Commander probably hooks up a Genesis pad (or even a proper Atari joystick!) for games that play better with it.
Heading rapidly further from the topic, I'll confirm that. Its a bloody good job too, otherwise me having a middle name of 'Rhys' would be rather complicated. Mind you, even the word 'by' would be a bit fiddly without the wonder that is using y as a vowel. Welsh uses w as a vowel too, e.g. in 'cwrs', which is perfectly simple to pronounce really.
If smart media, memory stick and compact flash float your boat then a quick trip to my local hardware vendor shows that USB readers for these are pretty cheap. I don't know about Cell Modems though.
Since the site describes everything as water-resistant in its metal case you could presumably overclock it like crazy and then use it under cold running water! (insert innuendo about what uses a PC has that you'd be needing a cold shower for here)
and to follow up, if you don't know that CDs are CLV not CAV (thats Constant Linear Velocity, non-Laserdisc fans) then you might not know that CDs read from the inside to the outside either. Alternatively, you might just think I'm being patronising now; sorry.

If the guy has any ability to do so, I'm sure he would. I strongly suspect that he just knows about it because he is being hit himself however.
You've already got them :-)

As far as I'm aware, all releases of 'Unfinished Sympathy' are credited to just 'Massive'.
For bonus points you can also own 'Love So True' by Tim Simenon, rather than his usual 'Bomb The Bass' nom de plume...

I don't know, perhaps they stole it from the discreet, the makers of the video effects program inferno?
