    Kernel? No, that would be Mach. FreeBSD 4.4 is the reference platform for the rest of the command line environment, however.

    And its nearly impossible to say 'cocoa' without smiling? Seriously, try it.

    Yeah, four years ago when the "Yellow Box" environment was renamed that I thought it was funny for maybe a day or two.

    Where do you think the inspiration for the MFC came from, anyway? The Mac toolbox (which has since evolved into Carbon) had this awful, awful style long before Microsoft adopted it for their Win32 APIs.

    an awesome encoder for the Mac(it was, and I think still is, the only encoder for the Mac that can do live encoding from line-in).

    Nope. SoundJam (which was ironically the basis for iTunes) could do that as well.
