"installed" means kept, nothing more. and a dash mounted tablet is legal as long as you keep it in car mode, and don't get caught watching youtube on it while driving. google glass is clearly a huge distraction while driving. if talking on a cellphone is illegal, then wearing google glass should also be illegal.
I predict the same will be happening to phones and pads within the next 2 years as you already have Nvidia up to pentacores and Samsung up to hexacores so just like PCs...
the sensor is actually bigger than most point and shoot cameras. combine that with that humongous megapixel number and i'm sure the images will turn out pretty good.
image stabilization is not digital in the 1020, afaik. its accomplished by physically moving the lens assembly in response to movement detected by the gyro and accelerometer.
i have the exact same story as you except i cant find any red bar on the website. but i can't find anything that says my account WILL be retained either, so i'm a bit nervous. can you describe exactly where you see the notice? maybe a screenshot? thanks!
to hell with ios. they should make vlc for android and watch it become the most downloaded app on the play store. i don't think play store will have a problem with the gpl.
this is starting to tread onto the batshit insane territory now! seriously? make your own roads? make your own bridges using "basic geometry and a few wood/metal shop classes"? and lets not even get started about the military protection that you think only consists of guns and "a few home-rigged explosives"?
there's a couple of problems that i've not yet figured out how to solve. one, it can't hibernate. i think its a consequence of using wubi/mubi to install mint and it can't be helped. two, it can't sleep/wake as well! earlier builds used to be able to sleep. not this one. it sleeps ok, but can't wake. three, the bluetooth works sometimes, and doesn't work on other times. i haven't been able to figure out a pattern so haven't been able to solve this.
google glass is not an hud for the car, unlike those used by pilots.

don't mind him, anon. this guy has a g+ icon next to his username. I mean that's just the limit of bending over.
i'm saying your choice is wrong because there is nothing better than e-ink for reading books. once you read on a kindle, you dont go to an lcd/oled.
why have a power brick at all i its so small that it can probably fit inside the laptop itself? that should be these guy's aim, imo.
it's kind of baffling though, why have inferior hardware in the us?

galaxy s4 and note 3 already have 8 cores.
voluntary as in they won't literally force you to get an id, but they will gradually make it mandatory for any interaction with the government.
no, i've never been outside my country (india) and i was assuming you guys out there would have better broadband than we do :/
seriously? people still have caps on their home broadband? i can understand usage limits on wireless data but this is just too sad.

6" devices are not called phones! i have large hands but its just uncomfortable to hold anything with a screen bigger than 4".
so you can't open images downloaded from the internet in an image viewer?
well, firefox can't scroll facebook smoothly on a core i5, so...

and how do they make single fiber optic cables 7200 kilometers long? seems impossible

i'm an indian. we have never been a great nation recently.
umm...no?

i'm all for the government tapping into all of my communications if it translates to zero terrorist attacks forever. otherwise, fuck them.
why just 5 years? give them something equivalent to a life term.
its pretty simple to do in linux mint.
ps: i'm assuming you meant set the 'turn off display time' to 'never'
