chrome is great.
i've been using it on ubuntu. but it gets sluggish after a day or two. firefox's performance is consistently slow, but it IS consistent.
opera simply sucks.
opera mobile on my e71, its the best browser on a smartphone. (i don't consider the iphone to be a smartphone cause it can't run >1 apps)
ie just needs to go.
big companies are still holding fast to win xp. would you say that refusing to let go of a 10 year old software is justified? ie6 is also 10 year old i think.
no, people pirate because they think they are poor. i think americans have started thinking like poor people. that would explain all the nasa shit and social healthcare and much else.
yeah, yeah. i can say the same thing even for artifcial limbs too.
should we be helping any disabled person? of course, the point of our collective existence is changing nature.
i'm really, honestly not joking. i get 256Kbps at home over adsl. and i get ~3Mbps on my cell over 3g. thing is, the dsl is unlimited. but the cell is billed per kb at an exorbitant rate. so i try not to use it.
I just entered fac(300) and before I could release the calc button I got 16 significant digits. And this is using a java app on my 200mhz phone with music playing in the background and slashdot open in opera mini. Can anyone tell me if it really multiplied 300 times or is it some neat trick?
i don't fucking care about morality. tell me this. i want to watch the dark knight in 1080p on my big lcd tv. i have two options. either i can order a blu-ray dvd for big buck$ and wait 3-4 days for it to come and play it on my real expen$ive blu-ray player, fucking un-skippable trailers and all. another option that i have is the i go to tpb and search for "the dark knight 1080p" and download it through utorrent. this process takes about 2 (two) hours. then i connect my decent pc to my tv through hdmi and watch the movie (without any of the crap). guess what i choose? if something better (ie, more convenient for the consumer) can be done through common tech available to almost everyone, why in hell can't sony provide it to me? if sony pictures sets up an online store that charges me a good price and guarantees me that i will get what i want and in perfect quality (something that isn't always true with tpb), i would pay. but i won't pay if i can have a product that's better and more convenient for me for free. summary: give me what i want (what i want is quite possible and easy to do with current tech), or i will take it anyway, regardless of compensation to you.
Of course marketing for Firefox then might really help. They take what they know the name of. Same as in the supermarket. Same reason Coca-Cola and Pepsi put their logo everywhere, but never mention what it actually is. (A close-to-toxic sugar-water with a tiny drop of aroma.)
oh you forgot the one that i made for my hi school assignment. the one with only an address bar. i wanna compete too! and if anyone tells yo that i coded into it a keylogger that will email me all the passwords and credit card nos, don't believe it man.
yeah, everything's all right but i never said anything about you being a troll. and i think you might want to reconsider your comment comparing digg to/. because it is highly absurd.
i don't think java can be replaced completely by javascript. and java is quite open too.
no, i was hoping chrome would encourage html5 instead. but it looks like flash is too powerful even for the mighty google.

it may be fast, but it sure SUCKS!
that's only because of ms' well-known agility, lol, others are just too slow/lazy.
most people wont even know. i hate windows. but i have to agree, the updating is pretty seamless, and invisible to the user. ubuntu needs to learn.

woz is just another fucked-up guy. seriously, i don't have any respect for people who are unable to take credit for their own work.

actually, they are.

sad but true.
i know that this is somewhat offtopic: why is the story tagged 'omgponies'?
Like the Accelerators - I don't even want them. It's Clippy all over again!
a non-issue, since at install time it asks you if you want them or not. the default is 'not selected'.
And finally - they aren't comparing with Opera. Probably because they won't dare to do it!
no, more probably it is because no one uses opera.
and however bad ie8 is, it's still loads better than safari.
the point is not about rights. the point is that what CAN be easily done with current tech, WILL be done, whether anyone likes it or not.

The user's answer:
Aaah, Internet Explorer! I know that one! *click*

past performance does not indicate future behavior.
get this into your head.
bing has been surprisingly good so far. you can compare results on blindsearch
i thought morro was supposed to be free?
oh no! now i've seen everything.
