    well win-d works for me. so yes both the button and the shortcut seem fine.
    oh, i almost forgot. if you just hover the cursor over the button (not click it) all windows will fade out and show the desktop.

    win7 has the same button now. on the lower right corner. although gnome's button has been there for years.

    i can't understand what is the need to use pdf. i mean you can use odf or doc(x). why get into another crappy format?

    critical means update is automatically downloaded and installed if you have auto updates turned on. optional updates get installed only after asking you.

    hey everything fits perfectly! they don't want to harm their bots, they just use them to hack other networks. so that explains the lack of malicious activity.

    every oo developer should admit it that their code is buggy and slow. only then will any improvement occur.
    on the ribbon ui, it does not make much difference to me. i search everytime i need to find something.

    the thing is that now msoffice student edition retails for about 20 usd, so oo won't sell for anything more than 10 bucks. and large corporations can usually afford to buy the pro version.

    i feel real jealous right now. i just ask for unlimited download only at 2mbps. i'll be happy. but no, everyone in my country is fucking around with non-issues and the one thing that could change everything (internet) is being ignored.
    i say, fuck the terrorists, fuck the corrupt politicians and fuck everything else. just let me work hard and get adequate compensation for my innovation/dedication. and let me buy anything at reasonable prices.
    its so easy to create massive infrastructure but no one is doing it because we think like poor people. we are trapped in our own minds. more than anything, poverty is a state of mind.
    and when i express my desire to immigrate to somewhere else where my work will be appreciated, all i get is hypocritical bullshit.

    Certain aspects of it do operate without trust. Any time you see 1000000.00 written on a check, you can (and should) forget about trusting anyone.

    no, trust is the reason you can encash that million dollar check handed to you. you would give it to a bank teller and tell him to give you your money. if he does not do that, he will lose his job. fine, no trust required. this teller takes the check to a supervisor (million dollars being a large amount to encash). the supervisor checks all the details and orders another group of persons to fetch the money from the vault. now consider the possibility that these persons may take the money and run away. but they can't, because they would be caught by security. no trust needed. but suppose the security guards are in on the plan, along with the supervisor and the teller too. then they can run away with your money. but they would be caught and tried in court.
    but if the cops and the judge were also in on the plan, you would lose your money.
    in other words, you trust atleast one person in the chain to do his job properly. and there is nothing other than trust that will make you certain that they will, howsoever strict the law is made.

    I give RMS credit for helping to create Open Source. (Credit he won't take, since he thinks the concept is as evil as any other "non-free" software.)

    why does he consider open source as bad as non-free? i thought open source was what he was all about. i mean that's what he wants, doesn't he?
