You can scream this at the top of your lungs until you are blue in the face, but it probably won't make a difference. Explaining it carefully might convince a few people, but not about things they already believe in. Its been said so much that you wouldn't even post it under your username, because you know it will get adversely moderated. People have read it so much they cringe when they see it.
You'll never be able to convince people that toasters don't cause suicidal tendencies in teenagers.
Maybe Red vs. Blue isn't the right argument here, as in most cases. Maybe the right argument is liberty vs. statism. Do you want to be free to chase your dreams or do you want the government to secure your prosperity?
It may not be as fuel efficient, but I consider my time to be worth much more than the few dollars that I would save by driving slower. Owning a self driving car would enable me to make better use of time while I'm forced to be on the road, but in many cases would still rather cut the drive time from my trip.
Driving 75 mph instead of 50 mph reduces my drive time by about 33%.
When the executive branch of government refuses to enforce the law, the legislative branch's only real recourse is impeachment. Is that what you are advocating?
Zombie movies have ruined me for life. I read the headline and now all I can think about is a bunch of scientist shuffling through a lab screaming "BRAINS!!!".
You'll see it over and over again. People believe what they want to believe and what they want to believe is often what is in their best interest to believe. Don't get me wrong, people do not set out to close their minds to opposing points of view, but it usually takes an overabundance of evidence by a trusted party to convince anyone to change their minds, no matter how intelligent they are. As a corollary; the longer someone holds a particular view the more difficult it is for that person to change that view.
Of course I could be wrong, but you'll have to prove it to me.
Knowledge - Things that you know. (What)
Understanding - How things that you know relate to other things that you know. (How and Why)
Wisdom - Correctly applying understanding to produce desired results. (When and Where)
IQ tests attempt to measure understanding and wisdom. The best IQ tests supply most of the knowledge necessary to correctly complete the problems.
Do you mean the investigators from Penn State that investigated Michael Mann? The Same Penn State that investigated Joe Paterno and Jerry Sandusky and didn't find any problems?
For me its flexibility in the hours I work, access to training, and being able to write the kind of code that I think should be written for a project.
By flexibility to don't mean full time or part time, I mean that I can come and go as a please as long as I meet my project requirements and make my time.
Training includes classes, conferences, research projects, and access to research materials such as books and hardware.
I've worked for a couple of companies where I was just a code monkey who was only allowed to fill in the blanks that my betters left undone. That kind of job is a nightmare of poor design and implementation.
Why make up a bed in the morning when it's just going to be unmade that evening (or sooner if one likes an afternoon nap?)
When my kids offer that argument I'll let them leave their beds unmade. When dinnertime comes around I ask them why I should feed them, because they are just going to be hungry again tomorrow. Now they typically make their beds as soon as they wake up.
I wouldn't usually say this, but you need to update your resume and start looking for a new job. Its only a matter of time before he realizes that he can outsource you too. I've seen the follow three scenarios play out, usually its number 2.
1. You find cheap professional quality developers who are available for your entire project cycle and do excellent work. Do they have anyone that can do your job?
2. You find cheap developers who hold it together long enough for them to find a better job. You'll really know your in trouble when you're on your third or fourth set of developers and the project appears to be going backwards. Ends in disaster.
3. You find cheap developers who can't find a better job and stick with your project for the entire cycle. Ends in disaster.

I wish Netflix or Amazon Prime ran on my Raspbmc setup.
What if they search your phone, find what they are looking for, then pretend they didn't search your phone?
Maybe some state could send an ambassador to negotiate with the Putin and then declare "Peace for our time!" a reality.
Come on now, no one glorifies clowns.
That is simply not true.
If you like The Thing then read this. It is a short story from The Thing's point of view.

Sudoku can be fun, but I prefer chess.
Let me know what you think of this sudoku problem.
For fun I'll toss in a chess problem too.

Don't overestimate the government.

Conservatives: Less filling!

I guess you didn't bother to read it. tl;dr?
The clock that is off by 5 minutes is wrong all day, every day.
I can only imagine what freedoms you'll be wanting to relinquish once they start detonating bombs in the security line at the terminals.
